  • Social proof: empowering social commerce through social validation
Nitin Patwa, Monika Gupta, Amit Mittal
Global Knowledge Memory and Communication, 2026
Purpose This study aims to examine the impact of consumer risk appetite, biases (specifically negative recency bias), and the importance of reviews in enhancing information quality. By analyzing these variables, the authors gain insights into their role in enriching the overall information spectrum available to consumers. The findings contribute to a better understanding of how risk appetite, biases and consumer reviews shape the quality of information. Design/methodology/approach The questionnaire assessed the relationship between dependent and independent variables by asking participants to rate their experiences in relevant scenarios. Variance-based structural equation modeling with the ADANCO program was used to examine the data. ADANCO software is used explicitly for variance-based structural equation modeling. To evaluate research models and test hypotheses, partial least square path modeling is used. Findings The efficiency of reviews and ratings is greatly influenced by consumer risk appetite. Businesses should focus on clients who are willing to take risks and balance positive and negative feedback. It is essential to comprehend how customers understand reviews. Credibility is increased by taking biases into account and encouraging unbiased criticism. Promoting thorough reviews strengthens influence. Monitoring and making use of these elements improve online reputation and commercial success. Research limitations/implications The research has limitations due to the simplicity of the attributes taken into account and the requirement for a larger sample size. Overcoming barriers to promote consistent client feedback is essential, and tailored emails can help with assessment generation. Increased customer participation in writing evaluations can be achieved by removing obstacles and highlighting the advantages of participation. Originality/value Businesses and buyers rely on this “organically” generated content as the basis of their promotional strategy and buying decisions. Most of the research is related to consumer reviews, their behavior and the importance of social validation. However, some critical aspects related to this need further investigation.
  • Integrating IoT and Cybersecurity for Sustainable and Resilient Smart City Infrastructure
Pankaj Mudholkar, Megha Mudholkar, M Vijayasanthi, Abdul Shareef Pallivalappil, Rashid Hashmi, Monika Gupta
Conference Proceedings 1st International Conference on Advancing Sustainable Solutions Through Technologies Icasst 2026, 2026
The concept of urban digitalization has changed cities into smart ecosystems where every layer of infrastructure, meaning transport, energy, water and communication, relies on the Internet of Things (IoT) for real time coordination. however, there are two consequences of the added connectivity: the exposure to potential surge cyber vulnerabilities, and sustainability concerns around energy consumption. in existing smart city conceptual models, cybersecurity and sustainability have been essentially treated as a separate design principles or priorities leading to disconnected architectures which implement energy-efficient but cyber fragile architectures or secure but energy-intensive. this paper provides an information of things-cybersecurity framework (IoT-CSF) as a path forward to supportive adaptive protection with ecological intelligence in a single-layered architecture. This framework will offer an edge-based reinforcement anomaly detection and an energy-aware encryption protocol to manage both latency and carbon footprint of the interactions simultaneously while maintaining data integrity. The interactions are based on a reward structure that values sustainability, allowing for programmatic optimization of protection, yet computationally efficient for all interactions past a transition period. Within the context of the multi-domain urban scale dataset simulation, the IoT-CSF architecture reduced communication energy consumption by 23.6%, response latency by 17.8%, and cyber intrusions by 32% relative to the baseline architecture models.
  • Modeling the influence of online communities and social commerce
Nitin Patwa, Monika Gupta, Amit Mittal
Global Knowledge Memory and Communication, 2025
Purpose This paper aims to explain how Web 2.0, social connectedness online, has created incredible new business options. This research’s primary goal is to help businesses use these resources more effectively and perform better. Design/methodology/approach Variance-based structural equation modeling with the ADANCO program was used to examine the data. ADANCO software is used explicitly for variance-based structural equation modeling. To evaluate research models and test hypotheses, partial least square path modeling is used. Findings Theories encompassing social support and related approaches to “word of mouth” online, electronic purchasing and virtual communities mediated by technological platforms are the foundational frameworks for this research piece. It then produces a statistical model that enables users to predict how social commerce (s-commerce) building blocks, including forums, communities, ratings and reviews and recommendations, assist businesses in introducing innovative strategies to win in the digital markets. The results necessarily focus on trust, an essential component of e-commerce. Reciprocally, the study reverses engineer’s trust through the constructs of this moment mentioned. Research limitations/implications The present study describes the scope of empirical testing and validation of this framework and assists practitioners in further strengthening s-commerce strategy, an emerging and essential platform in the e-commerce industry. Originality/value Research highlights the dearth of current analysis in such conceptual domains while generating novel research insights aimed at e-commerce and digital business. From the viewpoint of potential and recurring customers who interact with online communities and product offerings, the study captures the essence of human interactions, often known as trade relationships, online.
  • Sand and Sustainability: A Review Paper
Yash Garg, Md. Faiz, Monika Gupta
10th International Conference on Advanced Computing and Communication Systems Icaccs 2024, 2024
Sand is the most widely used natural resource after water. Due to Urbanization, an old saying 'Sand is slipping out of our fingers' seems to be true now. Various industries such as infrastructure development, filtration of water, plastics and electronics are widely consuming this resource. The rapid depletion of this valuable resource is contributing to climate change. It has drawn attention of various nations as well as United Nations. The authors tried to review the current situation of running out of the sand globally. The impact of extraction of sand and illegal exploitation of sand on the environment has been studied. The paper talks about how illegal sand dredging led to change in international boundaries around the globe. It also explains how sand is becoming the major cause behind geopolitical wars, (example: China Tiwan conflict). The loss of sand in coastal areas reflects the impact of climate change. The authors have made an attempt to draw the attention of all the stakeholders to take timely and appropriate actions such as prevention of illegal sand mining, strict enforcement of the laws, cooperation all over the world for the sustainable use of sand.

This chapter explores the potential benefits and drawbacks of artificial intelligence (AI) in talent management, as well as the ethical challenges that arise from its utilisation. This thesis seeks to shed light on the revolutionary potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in HRM and its influence on organisational success by analysing current trends and future outcomes.
  • The Role of AI-Enhanced Financial Literacy and HR Marketing in Personal Investment Decisions A Quantitative Analysis of Urban and Rural Households
Sunita Pachar, B V Srinivasulu, Bodhana Dharani, P. Vijaya Kumar Reddy, Monika Gupta, Siva Koteswara Rao Katta
2024 IEEE 4th International Conference on ICT in Business Industry and Government Ictbig 2024, 2024
Policymakers around the world have begun to pay more attention to financial inclusion because of the strong foundation it is believed to provide for human growth. National monetary systems as they have always been cannot appeal to every part of society. Members of society who are already well-off find it difficult to participate in the financial industry due to the legacy system's many obstacles. Theoretically, this research aims to shed light on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can encourage financial inclusion. In order to back up its claims, the report cites actual instances of governments using AI to break down obstacles to financial inclusion. With the right infrastructure and regulations in place, artificial intelligence (AI) can help expand access to financial services. By learning about different investment options and how to diversify their portfolios, people with financial literacy are better able to handle their own money. Investors sought to strike a better income-expenditure balance by taking advantage of new options to invest in firms' stocks, bonds, shares, and other financial instruments through traditional and nontraditional investment channels, as well as stock exchanges. The present economic climate encourages individual investors to trade stocks due to factors such as low stock prices, capital gains, financial interest, and stock market rumours. The reason being that these indexes offer more equitable investment opportunities than traditional forms of investment, such as bank savings. On the other hand, financial literacy (FL) provides a pathway for investors to make wise use of resources by way of investing in solid investments.
  • AI-Driven Quantitative Evaluation of the Impact of Financial Regulations and HR Marketing on Bank Performance A Cross-Country Analysis

Intelligent Computing and Emerging Communication Technologies ICEC 2024, 2024
This study looks at the impact of AI-related terminology on financial performance as well as the frequency and extent to which Jordanian banks discuss and apply AI technology in their operating procedure. The distribution of AI and related information in the textual data of the annual report is examined using content analysis. The disclosure of AI-related terminology has been expanding gradually since 2014, according to a regression study of 115 annual reports covering the years 2014-2021 from 15 Jordanian banks listed on the Amman Stock Exchange. However, it appears that Jordanian financial institutions are only dabbling in AI, as some of them have disclosed very little. According to the results, institutions' financial performance is affected by the release of AI-related terminology. This confirms what some have suspected all along: that accounting performance is enhanced by AI in terms of ROA and ROE, while costs are reduced in all other areas. Additionally, it supports the widely held view that AI may boost profits while decreasing expenses. In a number of ways, this research adds to the expanding canon of artificial intelligence literature, particularly that which deals with AI voluntary disclosure. First, it gauges the current state of AI adoption in practice by creating an AI disclosure index, which gives an objective measurement of AI's usage. Secondly, it sheds light on how financial performance relates to AI disclosure. As a third point, it emphasises the necessity for disclosure guidance rules and backs the work of legislators, international authorities, and supervisory organisations to confront AI disclosure challenges. In the end, it helps those working in banking who are implementing AI-driven process transformations and lends credence to the idea that financial organisations would benefit from increased transparency regarding AI and better informed decision-making.

Applications of Neuromarketing in the Metaverse, 2023
The advent of technology backed by digitalization is bringing innovative and new ways in imparting higher education. The high speed of the internet readily available in the higher education institutions is further supporting such activities. Especially post-COVID-19, parents who used to keep an eye on children towards usage of smartphones began to provide such devices themselves to children for educational purposes. The AI-supported technology facilitated the process by creating artificial environment to understand the real-world. It provides a shield to adversities of the real situations. With the further advancement in the emerging field of metaverse, learners can view themselves as one of the participants on screen in the form of an avatar. Since the students are not aware of the challenges and limitations of such emerging areas, the responsibility of educationists is on the rise. The researchers have tried to review the scope of higher education resting on metaverse as one of the major aspects in the near future.
