Dr. Sinija currently working as Professor and heads the Food Processing Business Incubation Centre of NIFTEM-T has acquired her Ph.D. and M. Tech. (Post-Harvest Engineering) degrees in Agricultural & Food Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur after her B. Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) degree from Kerala Agricultural University. She was awarded with National Doctoral Fellowship by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) New Delhi, for carrying out her research work. She has 16 years of teaching and research experience in the field of food processing. Dr. Sinija is member of Academic council, Board of Studies and Board of Examinations of various institutions across the country. Her research works have been published as papers in 75 peer reviewed journals, 18 popular articles, 5 book chapters and more than 75 international and national conference proceedings and 3 patents.
