    SAE Technical Papers, 2024
<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">The demand for electric vehicles (EVs) has been steadily increasing in recent years, led by the factors like environmental concerns, government incentives, and improvements in EV technology. The EV’s growth is expected to increase in the coming years as EVs become more affordable and more models become available on the market. Predicting the price of electric vehicles provides valuable insights on the EV market and inform a range of business, consumer, financial, and policy decisions. Predicting the price of electric vehicles using simple linear regression involves building a linear regression model with a single independent variable usually the vehicle’s characteristics or features to predict the dependent variable the price. This work has predicted the price of Electric Vehicle using a data set prepared for the Indian context. It has been predicted that there is significant correlation between battery capacity in Ah and the vehicle price. The measured RMSE value is 26274.942642891292. The measured value indicates that the model is better at predicting the price of an electrical vehicle.</div></div>

This research study presents the design and implementation of a Metal Detector Robot equipped with a bomb detection capability, utilizing various technologies including the Arduino development board, GSM , GPS, driver circuits, an alarm system, motors, and a metal detector. The primary objective of this project is to create a robot capable of detecting and neutralizing explosive devices, enhancing security and operational safety, particularly in military applications. The Metal Detector Robot leverages an Android-based smartphone to scan spaces for metal objects, including landmines, thus mitigating the risks associated with manual detection methods. The robot system incorporates a metal detector that employs coil induction to identify metal presence, displaying detection rates on an LCD interface. Controlled by an Arduino UNO, the robot is powered by a DC motor and emits both an audible buzzer and visual display on the LCD screen upon metal detection. Testing results indicate that the robot can be effectively controlled via an Android smartphone, ensuring efficient and precise metal detection in designated areas. This innovative approach significantly enhances security measures by providing a reliable tool for bomb detection and neutralization, reducing the potential for harm or fatalities associated with traditional landmine sweeping methods.

Icspc 2023 4th International Conference on Signal Processing and Communication, 2023
Multiple aspects of our life could benefit from the IoT. A component of the “connected house” is the Internet of Things (IoT). All the programs below are the ones that need to be localized in some form. When applied to the first, IoT allows for the accurate localization of anything, even living creatures and humans. The second component tracks mobile targets such as toddlers and the elderly. When it comes to home safety and surveillance, smart homes offer features like geolocation and monitoring. A localization system is able to track almost anywhere or anything by combining information from multiple sources, such as wired and wireless networks. As time goes on, the Internet of Things (IoT) becomes increasingly important and influences our daily lives in tangible ways. There is growing interest in the field of navigation IoT-based systems due to their widespread use in context-aware and localizationaware applications such as tracking, healthcare, and security. This subject has received a lot of attention as sensor technology and computational capacities improve. This study presents a brief overview of the localization techniques used by Internet of Things-based indoor navigation systems at present.
  • Audio Compression using a Modified Vector Quantization algorithm for Mastering Applications
Shajin Prince, Bini D, A Alfred Kirubaraj, J Samson Immanuel, Surya M
International Journal of Electronics and Telecommunications, 2023
    — Audio data compression is used to reduce the transmission bandwidth and storage requirements of audio data. It is the second stage in the audio mastering process with audio equalization being the first stage. Compression algorithms such as BSAC, MP3 and AAC are used as standards in this paper. The challenge faced in audio compression is compressing the signal at low bit rates. The previous algorithms which work well at low bit rates cannot be dominant at higher bit rates and vice-versa. This paper proposes an altered form of vector quantization algorithm which produces a scalable bit stream which has a number of fine layers of audio fidelity. This modified form of the vector quantization algorithm is used to generate a perceptually audio coder which is scalable and uses the quantization and encoding stages which are responsible for the psychoacoustic and arithmetical terminations that are actually detached as practically all the data detached during the prediction phases at the encoder side is supplemented towards the audio signal at decoder stage. Therefore, clearly the quantization phase which is modified to produce a bit stream which is scalable. This modified algorithm works well at both lower and higher bit rates. Subjective evaluations were done by audio professionals using the MUSHRA test and the mean normalized scores at various bit rates was noted and compared with the previous algorithms.

This article briefs on a low power 450 MHz a PLL-based frequency synthesizer for implantable medical devices (IMD). The technological devices inserted into human bodies to monitor and conduct medical diagnosis. Regular monitoring of normal functionality of the bodily physiological signals, such as hypertension, temperature, electrocardiograms, etc., is necessary for medical diagnoses. The charge pump circuit’s current mismatching problem is resolved and the frequency synthesizer’s power consumption is reduced by using a voltage-controlled LC oscillator with current reuse (CRVCO) and the cascaded gm boosting approach. At an output frequency of 450 MHz, the designed frequency synthesizer uses 0.223 mW of power. According to the test results, a 1. 2V supply voltage (VDD) corresponds to 0.45 mW/GHz is the Figure-of-merit (FOM)power.

The goal of this work is to design a half adder circuit for a multiplier with the considerations of low power dissipation and area reduction under the supply voltage of 1V. The novelty that is presented in this paper is the implementation of Pass Transistor Logic (PTL) technique to enhance the performance of adder logic. In comparison to previous studies, there has been a drastic reduction of transistors in terms of area, delay, and power. The proposed work reduces the power dissipation of the array multiplier. According to simulation results, the suggested design dissipates 1.105 $\\mu$W of power and 2.09 ns of delay for 10 transistors in half adder logic and 1.094 $\\mu$W of power and 2.14 ns of delay for 1S transistors in full adder logic. The proposed logic is designed and simulated in a 90 nm CMOS process.

The structure is realized using 90nm CMOS technology using cadence virtuoso. Low power consumption is attained by using SAR logic using d-flip flop and binary weighted capacitive DAC switching. A clock frequency of 2. 5M Hz and the sampling frequency of 20K Hz are being used for simulation purpose.
  • MIMO Antenna System for IoT Applications (5G)
    P Prakash, G Manoj, J Samsonimmanuel
Icdcs 2022 2022 6th International Conference on Devices Circuits and Systems, 2022
Multiple Input Multiple Output MIMO, which may be utilized in 5G and IoT networks, is a type of multiple output antenna (IoT). The antenna’s four spatial orthogonal antenna elements are powered by a total of four coaxial cables, two of which are in one plane and the other two in the other. Inverted L-monopoles and grounded stubs are used to build all of the antennas. L-monopoles have a wide range of resonance frequencies that may be tuned to suit the application. Additional resonant frequency modes can be generated by using long grounded stubs. It is possible to use the adjustable 2-element folding meandered MIMO antenna in the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz long-term evolution (LTE) as well as radio frequency identification (RFID) bands (687 MHz-813 MHz). MIMO antennas in the 754 MHz - 971 MHz, 1.65 GHz-1.83GHz, 2GHz3.66GHz and 5.1GHz-5.6Ghz bands are supported by the extra two-element small antennas. It is used in the cognitive radio (CR) environment as a ground plane for MIMO elements in the frequency ranges of 0.668 GHz to 1.94 GHz and 3 GHz to 4.6 GHZ to perform spectrum sensing. 65mm x 120mm x 1.56mm of low-cost FR-4 are used to construct the antenna. In full-wave simulations, the antenna’s radiation characteristics match those anticipated in the simulation. MIMO antennas’ 3D radiation pattern-based envelope correlation coefficient (ECC) was found to be less than half of the projected value. The suggested MIMO antenna’s low profile, compact size, light weight, and ease of integration with wireless communication equipment may be advantageous to IoT systems and modules.
  • Design of BIST(Built-In-Self-Test)embedded master-slave communication using SPI protocol

2021 3rd International Conference on Signal Processing and Communication Icpsc 2021, 2021
The Serial-Peripheral Interface(SPI) Protocol also called as synchronous serial interface specification is used for communication between single master and single/multiple slaves. With the increase in number of slaves causing high complexity of circuit creates a demand in self testability feature for SPI module in order to test for fault free circuits. Built-In-Self-Test(BIST) is the answer for self-test in circuits as well as it helps in reduction of maintenance and testing cost. Design of BIST embedded SPI module with Single Master and Single Slave configuration has been introduced in this paper, here 8-bit data is transferred across the module ,where the circuit under test(CUT) is being self-tested with BIST feature for it’s correctness. This SPI module is designed using Verilog Hardware Description Language(HDL) using EDA playground platform for applications like Application Specific Integrated Circuit(ASIC)or System on Chip(SOC).
