Shambhu Sahu is an Assistant Professor at Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication (SIMC), Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Lavale, Pune. Previously, he taught at the Vivekanand School of Journalism and Mass Communication (VSJMC), Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS), New Delhi; and also at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC). He worked as a Project Manager-CPEPA at the Centre for Culture, Media and Governance (CCMG), Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.

He has 16 years of experience in print journalism and book publishing. As a journalist, he has worked with The Times of India; The Indian Express; and The Press Trust of India (PTI) and has done both reporting as well as editing. He has several byline articles in various national dailies. During his stint in book publishing, he has commissioned/edited over 200 academic and trade titles for SAGE Publications and Rupa Publications. His works have appeared in a peer-reviewed journal.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Sahu's varied interest areas in research include Print Journalism, Journalism Studies, Political Communication, Rhetoric, New Media in Journalism and Data Journalism. His teaching interests include Reporting and Editing, Online Journalism, New Media, Film Appreciation, etc.
