India is arising among the most developing country in the world. It is a dwelling of 662.90 million females from different areas, honouring the country by creating their own identity in society. But unfortunately, India still lacks measures related to women’s safety and is considered the most dangerous country for women. In case of urgency, due to multiple reasons, they are unable to approach government officials and their relatives, thus encountering problems like bullying, misbehaviour and sexual assault. This paper intends to study women’s safety issues and focuses on delivering a security system, a mobile application accompanied by a wearable band that assists and accompanies them to rescue them from situations like sexual harassment. The watch incorporates a superior feature of releasing an electric shock (taser) to make the attacker injured. It uses technologies e.g. AI and NPL, to provide immediate help and response. The paper primarily emphasises on women aged between 15 to 60 years.

  • Diagnosis of Leprosy through AI-based Mobile Application
Atharva Nikam, Pranita Ranade, and Tanmoy Goswami

    IEEE
No digital service is available to diagnose various skin diseases quickly. It is a time-consuming and costly process. Diagnosing leprosy has always been challenging; if not diagnosed on time, it can cause fatal effects. About 120,000 to 130,000 new leprosy cases are reported annually in India. India accounts for 58.8% of the global total of new cases. There’s no digital service available for people to diagnose various skin diseases quickly without being late and going through costly processes. This paper proposes an AI-based application to detect skin lesions to diagnose leprosy in a cheaper, quicker, and more effective way, which would help in rapid tests anytime, anywhere, and avoid complications from leprosy. Critical design thinking and various research methods are employed in the proposed concept. The proposed design concept is economical and sustainable, catering to many consumers.

  • Intellectually Disabled Child Holistic Growth Management Platform: Voice Interaction and Scheduling
Lavanya Arya, Pranita Ranade, and Tanmoy Goswami

    IEEE
Intellectual disability is a term used when there are limits to a person’s ability to learn at an expected level and function in daily life. During a child’s growing years, the parents are responsible for an intellectually disabled child’s holistic growth and teaching essential skills. Working parents often do not optimally identify the child’s requirements, leading to challenges in the child’s adult life. This paper aims to find out various factors which impact intellectually disabled child’s growth and the mediums utilised for aiding them This paper proposes a concept for working parents to manage children’s growth digitally through an app-based concept. The concept proposes voice-based assistive technology to learn new skills in their everyday lives. The design concept provides comprehensive support for independent problems. The human’centered design thinking technique delves into the pain points of children and parents to understand the learning techniques and requirements
