  • A Study on Aggregator Business Model for Instant Grocery Delivery Services

    This study is to understand the preferences of the general public while using online Instant delivery services. Data was collected from 105 respondents through an online survey. Factor analysis is done to find how a set of preferences vary based on various factors like Age group, gender, Average monthly grocery spend, their current purchasing practice. Independent sample t-test is done to find significant difference in responses of different age groups and also with people who are already using and those not used the services, with respect to various factors listed in the survey. The study gives suggestions based on the various factors that the public give preferences while purchasing groceries using Online grocery delivery services. It emphasizes the potential of Aggregator business model to be successfully implemented for the Instant grocery delivery business.

  • Assessment of patient satisfaction by physician assistants in super specialty hospital

    Purpose: To assess the Patient Satisfaction of Physician Assistants in Super Specialty Hospital. Understand evolution, role and growth of physician assistant professionals in hospital. Methods: Structured questionnaires are used to collect data from 100english speaking patients who were above 18 years of age. Secondary data from the year 1960 to 2018 was analyzed which is available in internet database in English literature is taken in to account to understand the role. Survey and discussions methods are also used to get the updated data from healthcare team. Findings: PA's provide satisfactory care to their patients while being courteous and respectful, having a good understanding of the patient's problem, explaining to patients and using simple words that are nontechnical and have proven themselves to be an asset to the hospital. Conclusions: Research concluded that role of Physician Assistant can be utilized in Indian healthcare sector to compensate the deficiency of physicians in the healthcare outreach areas.

  • Assessing competency of community healthcare workers

    Background: Community healthcare workers (CHW) play an important role in preventive healthcare system in India. CHW link the community to the health system of the country. As the population in India covers majorly in village, community healthcare workers are the face of the healthcare. These CHW competencies are yet to be ascertained. Objectives: To determine standardized framework for competency of the Community healthcare workers in India. Methods: By using structured questionnaire with 5 point Likert scale is implemented to evaluate the competency of CHW. Respondents are 35 participants including Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA), Medical social worker and diabetes educator in and around Chennai. Findings: Suggested that community health workers are highly competent. More clarity in role of community healthcare workers is required. Government should initiate program to nurture the service quality of primary centers, equipment, manpower facility in health centers, etc Training regarding the maternity care and communication skills are core competency required for a CHW to perform his/her role properly. Conclusions: The results of the study show that CHW of India is also competent. Community healthcare workers are contributing more in maternal care and preventive care. They put more effort in health education and sanitation in rural areas.
