Oloyede Waliyat Olaide is a Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Farm Management, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. She is also a Ph.D. student in Agricultural Economics at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. She holds an MSc. degree in Development Management (Public Economic Management & Finance) from Birmingham, United Kingdom. She also received a research grant from Africa Rice/National Cereals Research Institute (NCRI) to pursue a second Masters in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. Her PhD research focuses on the commercialization of underutilized crops for food and nutrition security in South Africa, an Innofood Africa project of the European Union. She obtained a PhD research grant award from AERC. Also, she is a recipient of Young Scholars Matchmaking Workshop in Oxford, United Kingdom. Her career goals are to carry out relevant research and be one of the primary policy drivers for sustainable food systems. Hence, her research
