Specific Electrochemical Sensing of 4-Aminophenol Using a Graphene Oxide/Calcium Phosphate Nanocomposites Material for Pharmaceutical and Environmental Applications Abdullah Asrar Ahamed, Narayanan Sudhan, Venkataraman Balasubramanian, Koyambo-Konzapa Stève-Jonathan, Viruthachalam Ramasamy Raja Journal of Ovonic Research, 2026 A graphene oxide-hydroxyapatite (GO/HA) nanocomposite was synthesized by a simple co-precipitation method and applied for the electrochemical determination of 4 -aminophenol (4- AP). Structural, morphological, and functional group characterizations were carried out using Xray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, and Raman spectroscopy. The electrochemical behavior of 4-AP at the GO/HA-modified glassy carbon electrode was investigated by cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry. The modified electrode exhibited enhanced electron-transfer kinetics toward 4-AP, achieving a low detection limit of 0.14 nM and a wide linear concentration range of 0.1–340 μM with a correlation coefficient of R2 = 0.9974. The high sensitivity is attributed to the synergistic effect of graphene oxide and porous hydroxyapatite within the nanocomposite. The proposed GO/HA-based sensing platform is rapid, simple, and sensitive, demonstrating potential applicability for the determination of 4-AP in pharmaceutical formulations and industrial wastewater samples.
Design, Synthesis, and In-vitro anti-tuberculosis activity of 2-substituted-1,5-diphenyl-1,2-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thione Derivatives T Venkatachalam, P Sasi, N Senthilkumar, M Muthukrishnan, A Asrar Ahamed, R Premkumar Journal of Physics Conference Series, 2024 In the present study, the novel mycobacterium tuberculosis (M. tuberculosis) inhibitors, 2-substituted 1,5-diphenyl-1,2-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thione derivatives, were designed and synthesized. FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, and Mass spectrum were used to characterize the synthesized molecules. The docking analysis showed that the synthesized molecules have moderate to considerable interactions with the M. tuberculosis targeted enzyme. The molecules 3a (−16.33 kcal mol−1) and 3b (−15.36 kcal mol−1) show comparable C-docker energies to the standard M. tuberculosis drug, isoniazid (−16.95 kcal mol−1). The in vitro anti-tuberculosis efficacies were examined in the strain of M. tuberculosis H37Rv with the help of the LRP technique. At concentrations of 100 and 500 μg/ml, all tested molecules show a significant percentage of inhibition (89-98.6%). The derivatives 3a and 3b substituted with morpholine exhibit greater affinity toward strain of M. tuberculosis H37Rv at both concentration levels among the synthesized molecules.
