Philanthropic Fundraising in Higher Education: Alumni Engagement, Brand Equity, and Social Impact Juliana Nasution, Nurul Jannah, Muhammad Irwan Padli Nasution, Nur Aslamiah Pertanika Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities, 2025 Philanthropy has emerged as an alternative solution to address the high cost of education, which often exacerbates disparities in access to education. Within the context of higher education, alumni play a pivotal role as donors. This study aims to examine the influence of alumni engagement, university brand equity, and the social impact of philanthropic institutions on alumni’s philanthropic intentions towards their alma mater. The research focuses on alumni of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Yogyakarta, which hosts Rumah ZIS, a philanthropic institution that has pioneered and set benchmarks for similar initiatives across other Indonesian universities. The analysis employs the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS software. The findings reveal that alumni engagement (AE), brand equity (BE), and the social impact of campus philanthropic institutions (SI) significantly influence alumni philanthropic intention (PI). This study proposes a model for philanthropic fundraising in higher education by integrating three critical components: alumni, universities, and philanthropic organizations. Enhancing alumni engagement, strengthening university brand equity, and optimizing the social impact of philanthropic institutions can effectively boost alumni philanthropic intentions. To expand their fundraising strategies, higher education institutions should leverage broader alumni networks, thereby positioning alumni philanthropy as a foundational pillar for financing higher education in the future.

Strengthening Communication: A Strategy to Increase Community Satisfaction in Stunting Services in Indonesia Hasan Sazali, Tri Niswati Utami, Chuzaimah Batubara, Noor Azizah, Susilawati Susilawati, Muhammad Irwan Padli Nasution, Muhammad Syukri Albani Nasution, Seva Maya Sari, Rafnitul Hasanah Harahap Open Public Health Journal, 2023 Introduction: The Indonesian government has prioritized stunting management programs, but until 2022 the prevalence of stunting is still high. Objectives: The purpose of this research is to develop a strategy to increase community satisfaction with stunting services oriented toward strengthening communication. Methods: This is a cross-sectional design research with data collected from a sample population of 298 mothers who have stunted children through a survey and analyzed using path analysis with SEM-PLS. Results: The result showed that communication affects stunting service facilities and sanitation management with a P-value of 0.000, respectively. Communication does not directly affect stunting service satisfaction, it is moderated by the variables of facilities and sanitation, which play a role in strengthening or weakening the effect of stunting service satisfaction. An essential factor that can be used to produce optimal stunting service satisfaction is strengthening communication. Conclusion: Strengthening communication between regional institutions at the Regency level synergistically supports the provision of the required facilities, thereby increasing community satisfaction. Furthermore, strengthening cross-sectoral communication synergistically in managing environmental sanitation supports stunting service programs. This research contributes to the government's emphasis on stunting service policies to strengthen communication between service providers and cross-sectoral communication.
Face Recognition Login Authentication for Digital Payment Solution at COVID-19 Pandemic Muhammad Irwan Padli Nasution, Nurbaiti Nurbaiti, Nurlaila Nurlaila, Tri Inda Fadhila Rahma, Kamilah Kamilah 2020 3rd International Conference on Computer and Informatics Engineering Ic2ie 2020, 2020 On March 11, 2020 the World Health Organization has announced the status of a global pandemic of corona virus disease 2019 or also called corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The World Health Organization defines this disease as a pandemic because all citizens of the world are potentially exposed to COVID-19 infection. With the establishment of the global pandemic status, WHO also confirmed that COVID-19 was an international emergency. The trend of digitalization is becoming a new business trend to develop and survive in the midst of a crisis due to this pandemic. The online buying and selling market, digital payments and electronic health services, from online training classes to consulting with doctors via the internet, continue to increase. Some companies in the offline market also continue to operate by implementing health protocols. The form of digital payments continues increasing, this is because according to WHO the surface of objects can be a medium in the spread of the covid-19 virus. However, some digital payment media still require a card and enter a Personal Identification Number (PIN) in the Electronic Data Capture machine. For a solution so that the buyer does not need to bring a card and touch the Electronic Data Capture machine, face recognition authentication can be developed instead of PIN.

Preparation and Properties Nanozeolite-Filled Modified Oil Palm Trunk Starch Nanocomposites Sajaratud Dur, Abdul Halim Daulay, Muhammad Irwan Padli Nasution, Rina Filia Sari, Mhd. Furqan Journal of Physics Conference Series, 2018 This research was conducted to utilize natural resources in the form of zeolite and waste oil palm plantation in North Sumatera. Palm waste in the form of oil palm trunk is produced by replanting of oil palm plantations that are in the range of 20-25 years old. Oil palm trunk used is derived from 22-year-old palm trees which isplantedin the village Pematang Jaya, the sub district of Langkat province in North Sumatera. Oil palm trunk starch is extracted by the extraction process and then precipitated and modified using disodiumtetraborax(DSTB). The zeolit used comes from the Sarulla, the sub district in North Tapanuli province, North Sumatera. Adhesive produced from oil palm trunk starch was filled by nanozeolite to increase adhesion strength. The metode used to produce the adhesive is blending. Zeolitwas milled with grinding process using ballmill. The result was 232 nm. The result of nanozeolite covers the entire surface of the adhesive so that the adhesives appear by having no cavities/pores.
Biometrics for e-money transaction M. I. P. Nasution, Suendri, Samsudin, I. Zufria, Triase, M. Fakhriza, A. Ikhwan Aip Conference Proceedings, 2018 The rapid development of Information and Communication Technology has had an impact on all social aspects of society. Currently, there are many various forms of electronic money (e-money) that have used in buying and selling transactions both in traditional markets and in the online market. Various companies have issued their own electronic money. Initially the use of electronic money is still in the company’s cooperation network. Thus, electronic payment transactions will continue to increase. This is a necessary mechanism of security that can make sure a sense of security for consumers in making payment transactions electronically. A security solution could be developed using consumer biometric elements. So in making payment transactions will be safer because biometric for everyone is not the same.
Learning application of multimedia-based-computer network using computer assisted instruction method J V.Vidhya, Archit Kumar, Yashwardhan Parakh International Journal of Engineering and Technology Uae, 2018 In today's automatic and robust modern world, possibilities of optical character recognition is endless. Previously OCR was used in postal service to read address from mail, car number plate tracking, automation of bank check transfer but today it has taken document management system to whole new level. Using OCR we can convert normal hardcopy document into Searchable text. We will use deep Neural network to train systems to recognise characters in a precise manner, basically we have proposed neural network model combined with machine learning technique like gradientDescent, regression, softmax normalization which will help to increase the efficiency of the OCR. Computer will able to recognise hand written digit. We will be using Google's advanced TensorFlow to create an OCR system which will be efficient and robust in action.
