Antecedents and Consequences of Viewers' Engagement Toward Vlogging Shanta Banik, Arunangshu Giri, Satakshi Chatterjee Journal of Consumer Behaviour, 2025 Vlogging is increasingly popular for sharing personalized experiences, yet research on audience engagement and behavior is limited. This study, guided by the elaboration likelihood model (ELM), examines the impact of information quality and source credibility on viewer engagement and their behaviors in food (Study 1) and travel vlogs (Study 2). Data are collected from 424 food and 442 travel vlog viewers in India using structured surveys and snowball sampling. Results indicate that information quality and source credibility significantly influence viewer engagement, which affects their social networking and patronage behaviors, with no notable role of gender in these relationships. This research contributes valuable insights to vlogging, highlighting how audience engagement drives behavior and creates value.
Understanding the factors influencing the continuous usage intention of healthcare apps: analysing the moderating impact of psychological distance and health consciousness Rambalak Yadav, Satakshi Chatterjee, Arunangshu Giri Behaviour and Information Technology, 2025 The present research explores the factors influencing consumers’ continuous usage intention (CUI) of healthcare apps with the help of IS continuance theory and commitment trust theory. This study also explores how psychological distance and health consciousness moderate the relationship between consumer satisfaction with healthcare apps and their CUI. Using a survey approach, 386 responses were received. An analysis was performed using a sequential approach with SEM and fsQCA. The findings showed that perceived usefulness, perceived confirmation, trust, satisfaction, affective commitment and calculative commitment directly or indirectly affect the CUI for healthcare apps. A combination of trust, satisfaction, perceived confirmation and calculative commitment achieved outcome sufficiency and resulted in high CUI levels for healthcare apps. Health consciousness positively moderated the association between satisfaction and CUI, whereas psychological distance negatively moderated it. The research findings shed light on marketers/policymakers for wider adoption and continued usage of healthcare apps.
AI-Powered Interfaces to Healthcare: A Patient-Centric Study of OPD Scheduling Dipanwita Chakrabarty, Satakshi Chatterjee, Arunangshu Giri, Dibyendu Rath, Shamba Chatterjee Proceedings of 2025 IEEE Artificial Intelligence for Computing Astronomy and Renewable Energy Aicare 2025, 2025 The present study has investigated patient satisfaction while interacting with AI equipped outpatient department or OPD and also evaluated the perceived usefulness of AI in the context of OPD scheduling. Based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) model, the study identified four constructs, Information sharing, time-based efficiency, credibility and perceived compatibility. These constructs influence AI usefulness, which in turn induce patient satisfaction. A survey was conducted involving 337 Indian patients using a structured questionnaire as survey instrument. The responses of the survey participants were analyzed using SEM. The result has shown strong influence of all four factors over perceived usefulness, which again significantly influence patient satisfaction. This shows that an effective use of AI can improve service quality of the OPD and can boost patients’ trust. Also, AI can align the OPD service acknowledging patient preferences which can increase their satisfaction. The study contributes theoretically by integrating crucial AI useful applications in digital healthcare interfaces. It also gives a guideline to the healthcare service providers to design a user-friendly system that can satisfy and engage patients.
Virtual Human Resource Management (V-HRM): Impact of Its Strategic Applications on Enhancing Organizational Efficiency Satakshi Chatterjee, Arunangshu Giri, Swatee Biswas Perspectives in Human Resources, 2024 Virtual human resource management (V-HRM) is an assortment of different technologies, which automates the HRM to effectively connect the employees with the virtual HR services. The purpose of this study is to understand why organizations are shifting paradigms towards V-HRM and to examine the impact of its strategic applications on employee performance and organizational efficiency. Cross-sectional descriptive research design was used in this research study. Data was collected from 31 organizations from three sectors (IT, ITES, and Healthcare) by convenience sampling technique, and 150 respondents participated in this study. Structural equation modelling (SEM) was executed using SPSS23 and AMOS23. This study mainly identified five major factors, namely, effective communication through V-HRM, flexible work schedules through V-HRM, forming virtual teams through V-HRM, human capital development through V-HRM, and employee recognition and benefits through V-HRM. It also recognized the positive impact of various factors on employee performance, which showed the positive influence on achieving organizational efficiency. The model of the study can help to enhance the workflow and efficiency of an organization.
Developing a Conceptual Model on Human Resource Planning of Rural Healthcare Centers of West Bengal Based on TOE Framework: A Qualitative Study Using NVIVO Satakshi Chatterjee, Arunangshu Giri, Soumendra Nath Bandyopadhyay Prabandhan Indian Journal of Management, 2024 Purpose : The objective of this short communication was to identify the factors that were responsible for this disparity between the supply and demand of healthcare professionals and its impact on perceived service quality.Design/Methodology/Approach : A qualitative research design was used to create a conceptual model in this study. Personal interviews were conducted with 43 respondents. All of these respondents were working in various administrative roles in various rural healthcare centers. These data were analyzed with the help of the software tool NVIVO 14.0.Findings : The findings demonstrated the significant influence of technological, organizational, and environmental factors on the supply and demand of healthcare professionals’ human resource planning (HRP). Additionally, the perceived quality of services was impacted by hospital HRP.Practical Implications : In the global setting, most healthcare systems struggle with a lack of clinical and non-clinical personnel; this was particularly the case in rural areas. The need for healthcare services is growing, yet there is a significant gap in the availability of medical personnel in large cities compared to rural or isolated areas. This has grown to be a major worry, and it must be given top priority attention.Originality/Value : This brief statement developed a conceptual model on the elements influencing the West Bengal Rural Healthcare Centers' HRP process in contrast to earlier studies on HRP in the healthcare sector.
How Can AI-enabled HRM (Artificial Intelligence-enabled Human Resource Management) Help to Change the Future of Multi-Speciality Hospitals?: An Empirical Investigation in India Swatee Biswas, Arunangshu Giri, Satakshi Chatterjee Perspectives in Finance and Digital Transformations in Business, 2024 The healthcare industry is in a growth trajectory and the services being offered by them are often life-saving for the recipients. For ensuring the continued delivery of these services, it is necessary that there is a constant supply of healthcare workers who will be able to deliver these services at the time of need. This can be ensured with the help of AI-enabled HRM. The objective of this chapter is to investigate the impact of AI-enabled HRM practices on ideal HRM practices, which again has an impact on the achievement of the strategic goals of the organisation. A cross-sectional research design was used for this study. The data was collected from the HR department of the various multi-speciality hospitals across five metropolitan cities in India. The data was analysed by using structural equation modelling by different software packages such as SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0.
