AI technologies such as machine learning, predictive analytics, and recommendation systems have revolutionized how businesses engage with consumers, providing personalized experiences across the decision-making process. From problem recognition to post-purchase evaluations, AI enhances efficiency and relevance. However, it also raises ethical concerns, including data privacy, algorithmic bias, and transparency. The chapter examines these challenges and offers insights for marketers and retailers on leveraging AI for consumer behavior analysis. It also highlights areas for future research, particularly in AI ethics, data privacy, and the long-term effects on consumer autonomy.

    The emergence of quantum computing presents profound implications for classical cryptographic systems, including symmetric encryption. This chapter surveys the impact of quantum computing on symmetric cryptography, outlines key challenges such as reduced security margins and implementation vulnerabilities, and explores mitigation strategies including increased key sizes, quantum-resistant designs, hybrid encryption models, and algorithm agility. Future research directions are discussed, emphasizing the need for quantum-native symmetric primitives, efficient post-quantum implementations, and secure key exchange through quantum key distribution. The chapter advocates for a proactive transition toward quantum-resilient cryptographic infrastructures to ensure long-term data security.

    AI Methods for Environmental Protection and Resource Conservation, 2025
    Risk management is an important aspect in contemporary business and technology whereby an organization is able to minimize risks on financial, operational, cybersecurity and regulatory aspects. Current sophisticated risk management solutions are networking traditional solutions with information technology themes, AI, big data analytics, and automation. Risk assessment based on artificial intelligence assists in monitoring the risks and preventing them as they occur and supporting decision-making processes. However, there are challenges including data privacy and protection, the abuse of algorithms and bias, and the adherence to regulatory measures that must be addressed to come up with ethical and clear measure of risk taking. This poll focuses on risk management strategies, Artificial Intelligence in risk management, cybersecurity, and newer threats in digital transformation. Continued research should be directed toward the characteristics of adaptive risk intelligence, sustainable risk governance, and advanced risk idealization for fortifying the business resilience.

    Leveraging Urban Computing for Sustainable Urban Development, 2025
    The move to smart cities may provide a chance to introduce solutions that foster the circular economy and reduce system waste. This survey aims at examining the applicability of circular economy models in smart cities, the technologies, strategies, and issues related to it for attaining sustainable cities. Examples of the focus areas include smart waste management, renewable energy systems, sustainable water resource management, and circular urban mobility. The use of advanced technologies like IoTs, blockchain, artificial intelligence, and big data in the implementation of circular economy practices is discussed. Business uncertainties, regulatory concerns, and policy challenges including high initial investment, governance issues, and policy frames are discussed, and some recommendations to enhance circular economy in urban environments are provided. Finally, the chapter outlines the directions for further research, the key of which are the technologies, public-private partnerships, and smart governance to foster circular economy in smart cities.

    Technological advancements and innovative healthcare structures such as smart health and telemonitoring allow real-time data capture and diagnosis of patients besides individualized treatment. With mobile devices, IoT, AI, and enhanced internet speed, there is ongoing health tracking in patient health management solutions, chronic disease management, elderly care, and post-surgery care. A convergence of smart technology, healthcare, and cloud and edge computing make it possible to drive data insights and predictive analytics for enhanced patient care at lower costs or even accessing easy healthcare solutions which are otherwise unavailable for the less privileged. But there are still major obstacles today, such as concerns with information protection, privacy, compatibility, and legislation. Potential directions for the future are suggested with a focus on increasing of the interaction between blockchain applications, preserving data privacy, and establishing an ethical approach to this innovative technology.

    Adaptive Strategies for Green Economy and Sustainability Policies, 2025
    This study aims to provide an understanding of sustainable development and green practices with reference to strategies, challenges and ways forward. The first part of the study explains what the “Green economy” is and its effects on economic, social and environmental fronts. In particular, the study focuses on “the conceptual background and current applications of green marketing, green supply chain management and sustainable development principles”. Contemporary themes such as smart cities and their sustainability, ecotourism and the impact of greenwashing on consumer confidence are examined within the case and application area. New trends in consumption and production models and how green energies can contribute to sustainable development are highlighted. The review examines results, case studies and current research, revealing development opportunities and major research avenues for the field. In the long term, it aims to provide a holistic perspective to all parties who want to advance sustainable initiatives and solve environmental problems worldwide.
