My field of expertise is Genetics and Molecular Biology I started my scientific career in 2007 as an internal student at the Genetics Department of the University of Granada (UGR) and the University of Leiden (Netherlands) as an Erasmus intern. With particular interest in Human Genetic Diseases, I later focused my research on inherited predisposition to colorectal cancer during my PhD at the University of Leicester (UoL) and I extended this interest to other solid tumors during my postdoctoral career. I also acquired comprehensive knowledge in the field of Liquid Biopsy as part of my current senior position in the Liquid Biopsy and Cancer Interception group at the GENyO Center, where I am leading the molecular aspects of each research project. I also specialized in the Genetic Diagnosis of hereditary conditions after getting a diploma in Genetic Counselling, so I founded an R&D company to provide private genetic counseling.
