  • Bitcoin anomaly: adaptive anomaly detection with automated signing of blockchain-based bitcoin system using weighted recurrent neural network attention mechanism
Rohidas Balu Sangore, Manoj Eknath Patil
International Journal of Information and Computer Security, 2026
In this paper, we developed anomaly detection based on machine learning-based with the automated signing of the blockchain transaction system to effectively detect the anomalies to prevent the leakage of information from the bitcoin system. Initially, the anomalies data is collected from online resources. The automated signing of the transaction system is performed using machine learning. A blockchain transaction is used for the personalised identification of anomalies transactions. It secures the transactions from fraudulent blockchain transactions. Then, the anomaly detection is done by an optimised recurrent neural network with attention mechanism (ORNN-AM). Here, the parameters are optimised using fitness of firefly and driving training-based optimisation (FFDTO). Anomaly detection with the automated signing of blockchain transactions using machine learning techniques helps to detect anomalies effectively. The performance of anomaly detection with the automated signing of the blockchain transactions system is compared to other conventional anomaly detection models.

Journal of Computers Mechanical and Management, 2025
The rapid advancement of the Internet of Things (IoT) is reshaping industries by enabling seamless communication between devices, real-time data collection, and automation. Given the surge in IoT applications, challenges related to security, scalability, and interoperability have become increasingly critical. This study presents a state-of-the-art software engineering framework designed to address these limitations through the integration of blockchain technology and smart contracts. By leveraging the decentralized, immutable, and transparent nature of blockchain, the proposed framework enhances trust and security within IoT environments. Smart contracts, as secure, self-executing code, facilitate autonomous interactions between IoT devices without relying on centralized control. Additionally, the framework introduces novel strategies for optimizing resource management and data handling efficiency while improving system scalability across distributed networks. The synergistic use of blockchain and smart contracts not only resolves key IoT challenges but also contributes to the development of robust, efficient, and scalable IoT ecosystems. The framework is applicable across diverse domains, including healthcare, smart cities, supply chain management, and industrial automation, fostering innovative, self-governing IoT systems throughout their operational lifecycle.
  • Blockchain-Integrated Authentication Framework for Secure Cloud-Based Health Monitoring with Wearable Devices
Shaharkar Bhushan Bharat, Manoj E. Patil
Journal of Computers Mechanical and Management, 2025
Wearable health monitoring devices play a critical role in real-time patient care, but their reliance on cloud-based services introduces significant security and privacy challenges. This study presents a blockchain-integrated security framework that combines decentralized authentication, smart contract automation, and end-to-end encryption to ensure the secure transmission and access of health data. Unlike traditional centralized systems, the framework uses a permissioned blockchain to log authentication and access events immutably, while smart contracts govern role-based permissions without manual oversight. The system was evaluated in a simulated environment with wearable devices and cloud infrastructure. Results demonstrate low-latency performance, high authentication accuracy, robust anomaly detection, and resilience against replay and spoofing attacks. This framework offers a scalable and transparent approach to strengthening data protection in digital healthcare systems.
  • DDoS attack detection in blockchain network layer using dual attention based dense convolutional gated recurrent unit
Rohidas Balu Sangore, Manoj Eknath Patil
International Journal of Information and Computer Security, 2025
This paper aims to design a novel hybrid deep learning model along with a new feature extraction technique. This paper collects the input data from publicly available datasets and is pre-processed by using min-max normalisation and missing value imputation to eliminate unnecessary information. After, a new squeeze excited deep ResNet-152 (SE-DRes152) model is introduced to extract the essential traffic attributes from pre-processed data. Finally, the DDoS attack from the provided inputs is identified by presenting a novel dual attention-based dense convolutional gated recurrent unit (DA_DCGRU) approach based on the extracted features. The ability of the proposed classifier is further enhanced by fine-tuning its parameters using by modified fire hawks (MFH) approach. The simulation results and comparison analysis prove that the proposed model outperforms the other existing methods in terms of accuracy (98.83%), precision (97.54%), recall (97.81%), F-score (97.67%), specificity (98.51%), MAE (0.192%), MSE (0.01%) and RMSE (0.1082%).
  • Boosting Bitcoin Security: Innovative Threat Detection with Ensemble Learning and Water Cycle Algorithm Optimization
Rohidas Balu Sangore, Manoj E. Patil
2024 IEEE International Conference on Blockchain and Distributed Systems Security Icbds 2024, 2024
With the growing significance of blockchain-based Bitcoin systems, ensuring robust security measures is imperative. This research introduces an innovative approach to enhance system-level threat detection through the integration of a novel ensemble learning model, bolstered by the Water Cycle Algorithm (WCA). The proposed model aims to address the evolving landscape of security challenges in the blockchain domain, specifically targeting the detection of threats that may compromise the integrity and efficiency of Bitcoin systems. The ensemble learning model combines diverse algorithms, leveraging their collective intelligence to improve accuracy and resilience against sophisticated threats. The integration of the Water Cycle Algorithm further enhances the adaptability of the model by mimicking the natural processes of water cycles for dynamic optimization. This adaptive feature enables the system to efficiently respond to emerging threats, ensuring real-time threat detection and mitigation.
  • Software Defined Network Level for Local Processing and Global Processing of IoT-Fog Network Events
Sarkarsinha H. Rajput, Manoj E. Patil
2024 1st International Conference on Data Computation and Communication Icdcc 2024, 2024
A Software Defined Network (SDN) is a modern networking approach that makes it possible to directly program and manage network traffic, while also simplifying the underlying infrastructure for applications and services. It works by separating the decision-making (control plane) from the actual data transmission (data plane), giving greater flexibility and control over how networks operate. Fog Computing architecture and Internet of Things (IoT) devices are combined to create IoT-Fog Networks, which aim to solve the issues of latency, scalability, bandwidth limitations, and real-time data processing. The intermediary processing resources known as fog nodes are situated nearer the network's edge in fog computing. The majority of fog devices are not very computationally or memory-intensive. The task of skillfully handling these constraints in order to fulfill the requirements of multiple applications is difficult. Samples in the current IoT-Fog network are overly delayed in their communication or, on occasion, may be lost due to communication and processing overload due to congestion between devices and gateways. One way to address this is to provide a method that is effective for handling IoT-Fog Events in Software Defined Network (SDN), both locally and globally.

Agricultural production has always been a vital factor in economic development, and it has had an enormous impact on our economic prosperity. Also, as science progresses rapidly, the farming industry has become one of the most critical segments to face issues in farming, such as land, groundwater flow, catastrophic events, herbicides, and pesticides. Throughout all stages of yield development, the amount of acceptable precipitation observed is critical to the development of harvests in farming. There will be occasions when the excellent monsoon season is insufficient to aid agricultural production, and understanding it can assist farmers in determining the volume of moisture that can only be made available via irrigated agriculture. Forecasting feasible precipitation and harvest and water requirements is a difficult task requiring a thorough and reliable scrutiny of a long set of variables, such as relative humidity and temperature. In the earlier period, the viable monsoon was calculated by factoring in 3 significant aspects: moisture, heat, and rain. Analyze several research mechanisms throughout history, and investigate a considerable proportion in heavy rains. We employ a hybrid approach that combines logistic regression and random forest (LRRF) to anticipate crop production concerning annual rainfall as in the research design.
