The purpose of the study is to conduct a geospatial analysis of the territory, taking into account urban planning characteristics, for the location of a shopping center. The study characterizes the factors that turn cities into diverse and complex forms of settlements that are constantly changing. The process of urban settlement, which is reflected in their space, is analyzed. It is determined that spatial factors lead to differences in the scale and shape of cities, types of development and methods of spatial planning. The necessity of studying the spatial structure of cities, which has the characteristics of a relatively complete theoretical justification and wide coverage, is established. It is determined that the process of spatial development of cities is multidimensional and complex, which is manifested in spatial planning, transformation of many functions and expansion of the territory. The direction of research on the spatial analysis of the selected city territory is determined. Various characteristics of the site are considered, including views, transport links, access and other constraints that may affect the future development of each approach to the shopping center. A spatial analysis of the shopping center location was conducted. This analysis determines the transport accessibility of the shopping center, the accessible distance to residential development, service areas, etc. It also determines which parts of the territory are suitable for a particular type of use. The results are obtained regarding the location of the shopping center in the city. The estimated number of regular visitors to the projected shopping center is determined, provided that the level of its attractiveness is the same as that of its competitors. The increase in the level of attractiveness of the projected shopping center in comparison with competitors is calculated. Based on the results of the geospatial analysis, the stages of design and survey work were developed to draw up a large-scale topographic basis for the development area.

The article identifies the main types of land valuation – expert monetary valuation for individual evaluation of particular plots and normative monetary valuation for systematic valuation of land for tax purposes. To conduct the last one, a mass assessment of land plots considering geoinformation technologies is used. It is established that at the present stage of normative monetary valuation of non-agricultural land plots in Ukraine two methodologies are used: within the settlement and outside it. The project of the unified methodology of normative monetary valuation of land plots by combining the existing methods submitted for discussion by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine is considered. The values of land plots according to the existing and unified methodologies are studied on the example of four land plots under gas stations, which are located in the city of Kharkiv and outside it. It is established that the values of land plots, determined by existing and unified methods, differ both in the direction of increase and decrease, the difference varies from 9 % to 97 %. It is necessary to conduct additional analysis of initial data and indicators, which are the basis for calculating and improve the offer unified methodology.

Mathematical models for prediction of road network condition based on the so-called Markov chains are presented in this article. The data for calculation of elements of the transition matrix from one condition to another are taken from visual evaluation as well as from instrumental reading. It is recommended to prepare data sets in the form of pavement management system data tables based on a representative sample of measuring sections. Discrete time intervals – of one year – are used when constructing the model of transition matrices. The procedure of forming Markov transition matrix with partially complete data sets is proposed also in paper. The basis of this procedure is information on the previous condition of the structure and the results of the instrumental evaluation, which enables correction of the predicted values. The final matrix takes into account not only the probability, but also the speed of transition from one condition to another. It is also possible to work with the initial data using appropriate databases or other software.

A series of laboratory experiments on sensing plane-layered media using pulsed GPR with different antenna unit was carried out. Experiments have shown that when the operator processes the sensing data of even relatively simple media (with the minimum number of layers), the relative error in determining the thickness of the layers can be quite significant. This confirms the importance of conducting a thorough initial calibration of the GPR antenna unit and accurate adherence to the measurement procedure. Under certain conditions, correction factors or the functions specified analytically or in the form of tabular values obtained as a result of preliminary calibration may be additionally used.
