OMP based Iterative Channel Estimation Algorithm for Modified GFDM System Mohanraj S., Dananjayan P. 2020 International Conference on System Computation Automation and Networking Icscan 2020, 2020 Generalised Frequency Division Multiplexing (GFDM) is one of the strong prominent candidate waveforms for the 5G cellular systems. Since high data rate, efficient spectral usage, affordable delay, minimum level of OOB emissions and reasonable implementation complexities are the requirements of the 5G network. Generally, in GFDM the effect of interference will be more due to non-orthogonality nature so ICI and ISI will have more severe effects in the system. In our work an iterative method for interference cancellation scheme in receiver is studied for mitigating the interference without the penalty power and to improve the accuracy of channel estimation a new technique is adopted called Compressive Sensing (CS) technology. Simulated inferenceindicates that the suggested GFDM system hasmore efficientestimationaccuracy and the graphs were plotted.
Quality of service in bandwidth adapted hybrid UMTS/WLAN interworking network R. Shankar, P. Danajayan Telkomnika Telecommunication Computing Electronics and Control, 2019 Integration of Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) and Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) result in ubiquitous connection for end users. In the integrated network, ensuring the quality of service to users and enhancing capacity of network are prominent issues. Bandwidth adaptation technique is one of the solutions to overcome these issues. Bandwidth adaptation based on per flow and per class schemes were proposed for loosely coupled interworking network. In this paper, hybrid coupled UMTS and WLAN interworking network is analyzed with bandwidth adaptation based on per flow and per class schemes and the performances have been compared. Simulation result shows that the proposed hybrid coupled interworking network with bandwidth adaptation based on per class scheme performs better with enhanced quality of service and network capacity.
Performance analysis of GFDM system using LDGT for varying window S Mohanraj, P Dananjayan 2019 IEEE International Conference on System Computation Automation and Networking Icscan 2019, 2019 Future 5G wireless applications require improved data rate, low delay, efficient usage of spectrum, reduced out of band emissions (OOB) and implementation complexities. Generalized Frequency Division Multiplexing (GFDM) is one of the new 5G carrier waveform candidate which meets the 5G applications requirements nicely when matched with Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM). However, the GFDM has some disadvantages such as Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI), Inter-Carrier Interference (ICI) and implementation complexities. It’s not possible to obtain a reliable communication with GFDM signal which has more severe effects on interferences and noises. To eliminate interference in communication system local DGT algorithms were used with proposed new type of prototype filtering. The proposed filtering will have separate filters for odd subcarriers and even subcarriers respectively. It introduces the orthogonality conditions which will be used to get rid of interferences in the communication systems. Simulation results shows that the suggested GFDM system has better BER performance when compared to the traditional GFDM system. In future we can directly apply some channel estimation algorithms and different MIMO antenna configurations in the modified GFDM system for improved performances.
QoS and sum rate maximization in heterogeneous massive MIMO network Surender Ragunathan, P. Dananjayan 2019 IEEE International Conference on System Computation Automation and Networking Icscan 2019, 2019 Fifth generation wireless communication aims at providing high data rate for long range signal transmission consuming high power in the network. The increase of power must be proficient considering the limitation of the interference without demolishing the quality of service in the network. This work can be analyzed by densifying the network using Massive MIMO with small cell access where maximum sum rate can be achieved. The work in this paper aims at providing better QoS by minimizing the total power and maximizing the sum rate in the heterogeneous network deployed with maximal ratio transmission beamforming technique. The simulation results of maximal ratio transmission prove that better sum rate can be achieved at the penalty of power consumption and it is compared with that of existing regularized zero forcing.
Spectrum sharing techniques in cognitive radio networks-a survey A. Sharmila, P. Dananjayan 2019 IEEE International Conference on System Computation Automation and Networking Icscan 2019, 2019 Cognitive radio network (CRN) is considered a plausible way out for future 5G applications through its dynamic spectrum access technology. Spectrum sharing being the main objective of CRN, it alleviates the spectrum scarcity problem. In this paper, the manifold techniques for spectrum sharing in CRN are outlined. The distinct advantages and major limiting constraints with relevant to the hybrid spectrum access technology are elaborated thoroughly to enhance the QoS parameters of the users and to achieve better spectral efficiency.
