Naukovyi Visnyk Natsionalnoho Hirnychoho Universytetu, 2025
Purpose. To assess the role of subjective relevance within management standards, employing first- and second-order confirmatory factor analyses (CFA). To analyze the integration of diverse metrics from sustainability reports to gauge a company’s environmental impact alongside the evolving significance of organizational longevity as a measure of success in the business domain. To establish the efficacy of implementing management standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 in the process of pursuing sustainability objectives. Methodology. Quantitative research methods were employed, utilizing tools and techniques, including SPSS Statistics and Amos software for data analysis. Statistical data from Bangladesh’s RMG (Ready-Made Garments) industry was processed to conduct CFA. A survey questionnaire was administered to a representative sample of 603 residents in Gazipur, Bangladesh. The CFA analysis evaluated absolute and incremental fits, validating subjective management system norms through first- and second-order internal and external environment satisfaction analyses. Findings. The findings indicate that organizations implementing management standards like ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 demonstrate greater efficiency in pursuing sustainability goals than those without such standards. As confirmed by the CFA analyses, integrating subjective relevance within these standards validates their role in addressing internal and external environmental concerns. Furthermore, the study underscores the evolving landscape of success indicators in the business realm, emphasizing the importance of sustainability and longevity metrics alongside traditional economic measures. Originality. This study is among the first to utilize first- and second-order CFA to evaluate MSS criteria in the Bangladeshi RMG business, filling a void in empirical research on sustainability outcomes in developing markets. Practical value. The results add to the increasing body of research on management criteria, showing that operational efficiencies and environmental benefits result from subjective norms coupled with ISO and OHSAS standards.

Problems and Perspectives in Management, 2024
The transition to an innovative economy requires greater attention to creating favorable conditions for the commercialization of scientists’ developments and the possibility of realizing the accumulated scientific potential. This study aimed to examine the commercialization process in the Republic of Kazakhstan and identify factors influencing the development of academic entrepreneurship in universities. It examines a gradual change in legislation on technology transfer and the dynamics of implemented commercialization projects during 2016–2022. Structured interviews were conducted with academics of the biggest 14 universities in Kazakhstan with a sample of 209 respondents to identify factors influencing the desire of scientists to engage in academic entrepreneurship. The findings revealed that the most attractive factors for academics are flexible working hours (4.67 of 5), the opportunity to implement their own innovative ideas (4.12), and an increase in income (3.63). In turn, negative factors include the lack of qualified personnel (4.56), difficulties in legislation (4.27), and bureaucratic barriers (3.78). The study revealed that gender and age moderately affected scholars’ desire to engage in academic entrepreneurship (Cramer’s V = 0.3025). The greatest desire to start their own business was demonstrated by men aged 26-35 years and by women aged 36-45 years. The findings also show that the scientific fields positively affect the number of ready-made ideas, patents, and technologies that academics offer to businesses. Diana Sitenko, Yelena Gordeyeva, Ali Sabyrzhan, Elmira Syzdykova
Problems and Perspectives in Management, 2023
The implementation of innovative renewable energy projects is designed to meet the growing electricity demand and reduce carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere. In order to avoid resource dependence of the economy and meet the demand for electricity in remote areas of Kazakhstan, the development of renewable energy sources is urgent. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of existing mechanisms for the implementation of innovative renewable energy projects through auctions. Moreover, it identifies their shortcomings and offers proposals for improvement. The analysis uses data from the Kazakhstan Bureau of National Statistics on renewable energy sources, namely alternative energy sources such as solar and wind power plants, excluding biogas. The methodology provides for the assessment of projects implemented through auctions for 2018–2021, taking into account such indicators as the dynamics of the number of wind and solar energy projects, their capacity, the percentage of auction price reduction for a specific year. The paper discusses the mechanism for conducting auctions of solar and wind electricity, which, through the auction organizer, connects authorized bodies and investors. The main indicators of auctions for individual years are noted, and the main shortcomings of this mechanism are identified. The analysis of barriers to innovative renewable energy project implementation revealed the presence of contradictions in the price regulation of renewable electricity, the lack of market pricing mechanisms, and the unpreparedness of the energy infrastructure for integration with renewable sources. AcknowledgmentThis research is funded by the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Grant No. AP13268750).
  • Green Energy: New Opportunities or Challenges to Energy Security for the Common Electricity Market of the Eurasian Economic Union Countries
Larissa P. Steblyakova, Elena Vechkinzova, Zhibek Khussainova, Zhanibek Zhartay, Yelena Gordeyeva
    Energies, 2022
The article discusses alternatives to the development of the common electricity market of the Eurasian Economic Union countries. In the study, the authors identified three tasks: to analyze the process of forming a unified energy market for the EAEU countries; to assess the achievability of indicators of “greening” the economy of the EAEU countries according to the adopted Millennium Goals by 2025 and 2030; and to consider the impact of various factors on the development of the common electricity market of the Eurasian Economic Union countries in the conditions of the current economic crisis. The research hypothesis suggests that the energy unification of the countries will not lead to the abandonment of the use of traditional energy resources, but the need to increase the efficiency and environmental friendliness of their use will come into focus, and the active inclusion of the electric power industry in modern global “green” trends based on the development of renewable energy generation sectors will make it possible to solve the problems of energy security of countries more effectively in the long-term participants of the CEM. The authors believe that it is not a deficit but on the contrary an excess of traditional energy resources that provides a trend of progressive movement towards a “green” economy, and the manifestations of the “Dutch disease” with a properly structured state energy policy and effectively selected incentive measures cannot serve as a significant brake on this movement. At the same time, the formation of a common electricity market of the EAEU countries should prioritize not just the idea of integration but also the idea of creating an alternative electricity market based on the introduction of modern electricity generation technologies and the creation of conditions that stimulate the development of alternative energy.
  • The Impact of Environmental Factors on Families with Disabilities as an Object of Structural Modeling
Tatyana PRITVOROVA, Dinara TEMIRBAYEVA, Yelena GORDEYEVA, Nurgul KUTTYBAEVA, Bakyt SPANOVA
Journal of Environmental Management and Tourism, 2022
This article examines the socio-economic situation of families with children with disabilities, who are considered vulnerable social groups in global social policy. The purpose of the paper is to assess the set of constraints faced by families with children with disabilities in Kazakhstan and the factors, including environmental factors, that have a significant impact on them. The authors use a sociological survey of respondents in five regions of Kazakhstan and subsequently process the results using statistical methods. The survey is based on a methodological approach based on the identification of four types of constraints: direct costs, indirect losses/costs, assessment of the ability to find a job, and assessment of the ability to maintain a parent's health. The authors conduct structural modeling using the PLS-PM model, in which four types of constraints are set as dependent variables. The model allowed eight hypotheses to be confirmed, of which six identify significant factors and the other two reflect the relationships among the dependent variables in the model.
  • FINANCIAL AND ECONOMIC SUPPORT OF THE FUNCTIONING OF ENTERPRISES OF THE MATERIAL SPHERE OF PRODUCTION: A PRACTICAL DIMENSION
Iryna Perevozova, Lilya Mykhailyshyn, Olena Morozova, Ylena Gordeyeva, Ruslan Liubar, et al.
Financial and Credit Activity Problems of Theory and Practice, 2022
There are enterprises of different types of economic activity at the market, which should be classified into tangible and intangible enterprises. The first group includes enterprises in industry, agriculture, forestry and fisheries and construction. The second group consists of companies engaged in trade and providing various services to market participants. In general, 128.9 thousand enterprises operated at the market at the beginning of 2021. With a share of 35.5% of the total number of enterprises, they produced products worth UAH 3.9 trillion, which is almost a third of the market. We consider the financial support of the material sphere enterprise through the prism of planning the needs of production in financial resources directed to its resource provision. If the company lacks its own financial resources, it is forced to look for external sources to cover costs. An important role is played by the imbalance in revenue and expenditure growth, which amounted to -6.4%, the growth of receivables (in industry and construction). The reduction of enterprises' own cash by this amount is caused by a constant increase in energy tariffs, a decrease in the purchasing power of the population, an increase in tax pressure, and other factors. The management of enterprises compensates the shortage of financial resources by attracting bank loans and borrowings (long-term and short-term), issues of shares and bonds. Thus, long-term liabilities and collateral increased (+ 23.2%), especially due to an increase in bond issues (4.8 times). At the same time, the amount of funds raised from the placement of shares decreased significantly (almost 6 times)against the background of uncertainty and instability of the stock market. Even in the conditions of economic instability in 2020, enterprises make capital investments in tangible and intangible assets, although to a much lesser extent than in 2016 (almost a quarter less). The financial results of enterprises are the lowest in 2016-2020, especially in industry and construction, where there is a loss of 43.1%. The situation that arises requires a detailed in-depth study and the formation of appropriate recommendations for enterprises, depending on the type of economic activity.
