A Green Inventory Model for Decaying Products Under the Impact of Carbon Emissions with Two Different Demands Varuna Bhardwaj, Sunil Kumar, Vipin Kumar Tyagi, Jitendra Kumar Research on Engineering Applications in Multidisciplinary Sectors Part 1, 2025 A green supply chain approach is required for industries to remain sustainable and is critical for our planet's well-being. By improving cost effectiveness, lowering waste, and satisfying customer demand for green products, it contributes to a reduction in the carbon footprint of manufacturing operations by generating less waste and reducing expenses. This study takes into account a two-level model that considers carbon release from production, carrying products, shipping, item deterioration, and waste disposal and also helps to minimize the overall cost. The presented model was analytically evaluated and optimizes the production time and supplier’s replenishment time. The current study has been demonstrated by both a sensitivity analysis and a numerical analysis. A graphical representation is also given to determine the convexity of the proposed model.
SELECTION OF GREEN SUPPLIER USING INTEGRATED MULTI-CRITERIA OPTIMIZATION METHOD: WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO PLASTIC EXTRUSION AND VACUUM FORMING COMPANIES IN INDIA Reema Agarwal, Vipin Tyagi, Ankur Agrawal Decision Making Models and Applications in Manufacturing Environments, 2024 The manufacturer ideally should have a fair idea about the rating of its suppliers. Today’s demands include cost-effectiveness, premium-quality goods, timely delivery, and superior services after the sales and engage in environmental responsibility activity. In recent years, environmental consciousness has increased significantly. Hence, while assessing a supplier, its sensitivity towards the environment must be considered along with economic factors. That is why it can be termed as green supplier selection (GSS). The GSS is considered to be a multi-criteria optimization problem, which is more popularly known as Multi-Criterion Decision-Making (MCDM) problem. 464MCDM tools are required to solve such kinds of problems. A case study in India’s industrial plastic component manufacturing company was carried out to address the issue. An integrated MCDM approach was deployed for green supplier assessment and selection. The research study, novel in nature, suggests how to rank suppliers as well as how low-rank suppliers incorporating environmental consciousness can improve their performance.
A Green Inventory Production Model in a Fuzzy Ecosystem with Quadratic Demand Influenced by Carbon Release Sunil Kumar, Varuna Bhardwaj, Vipin Kumar Tyagi, Sudhanshu Shekhar Dubey Proceedings of the 2024 International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technology Global AI Summit 2024, 2024 To be concern about environment protection is the prime objective of the today's corporate world and center of attraction for researchers. Emission of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases is the biggest cause of global warming and pollution and it is very essential to show concern about to minimize their production. Being environment friendly helps to reduce negative effect of ecological output and increase their social and financial benefits. This paper improves the inventory levels with time based quadratic demand and different costs related to carbon emission. A numerical assessment of the model is also given in the paper. A crisp model gives the minimization of total cost of the model after the defuzzification process. The convexity of the model is shown by pictorial presentation. A sensitivity of the model based on different parameters is also given.
