Using Deep Learning Neural Networks to Recognize and Authenticate the Identity of the Speaker Seddiq Q. Abd Al-Rahman, Sameeh Abdulghafour Jassim 2024 21st International Multi Conference on Systems Signals and Devices Ssd 2024, 2024 Nowadays, the advancement of technology is given that permeates all parts of daily life and is dependent on electronic services like banking and financial transfers, project management, health care, and other essential areas. These applications' fundamental components (person recognition and/or authentication procedures) can be viewed as one of their challenging constraints. Therefore, using biometric features in these sectors can result in promising outcomes. A person's voice is a distinctive bio-feature that may be used for identification, verification, and prevents others from mistaking them for someone else without their knowledge or consent. The Speaker Recognition System that was proposed utilized the biometric method to confirm the speaker's identity and then authenticate that identity by using the password to prevent replay attacks. The objective of the system is to distinguish the speaker by utilizing the corpus of the English language dataset of 20 adult speakers (12 male and 8 female) and for each person there 500 utterances samples were utilized for the training and testing purpose equally. Additionally, the input speech signal is processed to get a specific number of variables, named features. Features extraction is utilized to select the most appropriate features to reduce the computational power load and thus reduce the time needed for speaker recognition. MFCC and LPCCs are integrated as speech feature extraction and DFFNNs as speech classifiers. The classification classifies the speaker by utilizing the features defined by the feature extraction block and audio clips in the database. Furthermore, the MATLAB (R2023a) tool was utilized for the entire simulation. The result got from this proposal proved that the integration of MFCC and LPCC techniques has higher accuracy than utilizing every technique individually as well as utilizing the DFFNNs to classify the speakers' got high recognition results among the speakers. As well as the authentication process will be more accurate because we used two authentication factors (What you know(password) and What you are (speaker recognition).

Image Encryption Using Lorenz Chaotic System Daniah Abul Qahar Shakir, Ahmad Salim, Seddiq Q. Abd Al-Rahman, Ali Makki Sagheer Journal of Techniques, 2023 In the age of the Internet, a lot of images are circulated among users, and some of these images contain financial or personal information that requires confidentiality. Encryption algorithms existed for a long time, and the data used was focused on the text data, while the multimedia data was neglected for a long time. In addition, there are significant shortcomings in 3D image coding techniques. This paper proposed a method for image encrypted and decrypted electronically using the Lorenz chaotic system, the supposed algorithm was developed by using the three equations of the Lorenz system, before that, the image pixels are destroyed using reversible shifting and rotating processes to increase the randomness of the encrypted pixels and thus the difficulty of cracking the cipher. Then he supposed technique gave the following results: The average entropy calculation was (7.285) before image encryption and (7.9974) after image encryption with an average NPCR of (99.65%) and UACI was (30.35%) this confirms that the proposed method is reliable and applicable. Moreover, the suggested technique gives the best outcomes when compared to other similar works.
Best S-box amongst differently sized S-boxes based on the avalanche effect in the advance encryption standard algorithm Hadeel Mohammed Taher, Seddiq Qais Abd Al-Rahman, Shihab A. Shawkat International Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2022 <span lang="EN-US">Substitution boxes are essential nonlinear modules that are popular in block cipher algorithms. They also play a significant role in the security area because of their robustness to different linear cryptanalysis. Each element of the state in a S-box is nonlinearly replaced using a lookup table. This research presents the S-box, one of the fundamental parts of the advanced encryption standard (AES) algorithm. The S-box represents the confusion part in the AES. However, when information is shared between different devices in an authorized manner, the algorithm should be able to combine a sufficient number of confusion layers to guarantee the avalanche effect (AE). Subsequently, this research selects the best S-box by comparing different sizes (4×4, 8×8, and 16×16) and measuring them on the basis of the million-bit encryption. The AE is the main criterion used in choosing the best S-box. A robust and strong cryptography algorithm should be able to confirm the AEs. Results indicate that the 16×16 S-box with a 52% AE ratio is the superior S-box</span>

Design a mobile application for vehicles managing of a transportation issue Seddiq Q. Abd Al-Rahman, Sameeh Abdulghafour Jassim, Ali Makki Sagheer Bulletin of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, 2021 The movement of people between cities is leading to a recovery in the economy that transportation companies have begun to dominate. These companies start providing the best services to customers and promoting them through workers to earn money properly. From this basis, this paper presents a system designed to manage a company that transports people and goods between a group of cities. Database management was used across the web to enable data exchange between workers. The database is designed to be accessible to workers. It has also been suggested that the elliptic curve can be used to generate public and private keys for all parties while the company's management generates a prime number every day to ensure the confidentiality of the exchanged data. In this proposal, the rivest-shamir-adleman (RSA) algorithm is used to encrypt transferred data. It uses technology to exchange information if the recipient is not connected to the network. The proposed system performs a good service for the company’s management in securing the transferred data where smartphone applications are designed to work on it.
Implementation of Data Transportation Protocol Depending on the Lightweight Cipher Algorithms Seddiq Q. Abd Al-Rahman, Sarah Shihab Hamad, Dena Salim Turky Proceedings International Conference on Developments in Esystems Engineering Dese, 2021 Lightweight cryptography (LWC) takes a novel approach to produce security for low-power devices and constrained applications such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and Wireless Sensor Node (WSN). In these WSN and IoT applications, whole nodes communicate with each other over a network; therefore, there are opportunities to penetrate this node via the extrinsic attack. The most important thing here is to preserve this node from all kinds of extrinsic attacks considering the hardware implementation and memory size. Considering the above problem, finding a proposal that transfers data and ensures that it is not stolen or tampered is necessary. This proposal has been based on previous lightweight encryption algorithms. The proposal transferred the data (in xml data formats) between the start and end nodes with the least nodes. This provided a speed in the transfer process, which led to a significant improvement in data security. Essentially lightweight cipher provides the security at the node level only. We also calculated the execution time of these five lightweight algorithms, the time of data transfer, and the number of nodes for transport data.
NVLC: New variant lightweight cryptography algorithm for internet of things Seddiq Abd Al-Rahman, Ali Sagheer, Omar Dawood Proceedings 2018 1st Annual International Conference on Information and Sciences Aicis 2018, 2018 The rapid industrial and technological development along with the continues need to improve lifestyle have led to the emergence of the Internet of Things (IoT) as a service. Due to its nature, there are a huge amount of data been transmitted over IoT in every minute. Considering security aspects of such a huge data, with limited resources including bandwidth and energy, requires an innovative way of securing such as data driven environment. This study aims to propose a low-cost encryption algorithm (NVLC) to handle a low-cost Radio-frequency Identification (RFID) tags and sensors within IoT environment. NVLC is a symmetric block cipher with a 64-bit block size data and 80-bit/128-bit for the secret key. Although 6 rounds of NVLC is enough to maintain data security, however, we are applying 20 rounds to increase data security and complexity of decryption. This paper uses a substitution-permutation network within NVLC as a uniform architecture of cryptography. NVLC has been designed and implemented using a combination of mathematical and logical and methods considering the requirement of IoT lightweight devices and infrastructure. The proposed cipher was shown the security evaluation, software, and hardware experiments to it, and results show that compares to other lightweight block ciphers. NVLC has an advantage in the term used low cost of gate equivalents (GE), used only 1134GE.
