Tejwant Singh Kang is a Physical Chemist, with research expertise in the colloidal chemistry of ionic liquids (self-assembly, microemulsions, ionic liquid-protein systems), and sustainable preparation of nanomaterials for photocatalytic applications. Currently, he is working as an Associate Professor at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, India. He did B.Sc. (Chemistry, Biology) from Panjab University, Chandigarh, and M.Sc. (Chemistry) at Punjabi University, Patiala, India. He obtained Ph.D under the supervision of Dr. Arvind Kumar, CSIR-Central Salt and Marine Chemical Research Institute, India (2011). He is the recipient of prestigious JSPS Postdoctoral (2011-2012) and JSPS Invitation Fellowship for experienced researchers (2018-2019), where he worked in the group of Prof. Nobuo Kimizuka, Kyushu University, Japan. He worked as a visiting scientist in the group of Prof. Kazue Kurihara, Tohoku University, Japan (2015). He is also the recipient of Prof. Shantilal Oswal Young Scientist
