Research Journal of Pharmacy and Technology, 2025
After the analysis of 246 peer-reviewed publications, which are indexed in the Web of Science, the given research paper carries out equipped bibliometric analysis of doping-related sports research. This research paper has succeeded in charting the intellectual organization of the concept of doping literature, key research topics, and pointing out new fields and areas of research gaps with the help of co-occurrence, overlay, and density visualizations performed by the VOS viewer software. Based on the findings, most of the research areas still surround drugs such as growth hormones, testosterone, anabolic steroids and EPO and the way in which they impact on athletic performances and how they can be detected. Although more modern procedures such as capillary electrophoresis are under exploration it has been determined that more traditional techniques such as mass spectrometry and urine testing are still used in their detection. Moreover, the attention to the social and psychological considerations of doping behavior is also based on the rising involvement of the keywords referring to students, adolescents, education, and public health. Importantly, the research determines the information gap in the sphere and particularly in such aspects as legal regulation, the role of chemists, and the early prevention strategies involving amateur sports and schools. Such differences indicate that more cross-disciplinary studies with experts in the fields of public health, medicine, education, psychology, sports, and law should be conducted. In conclusion, it is of vital interest in academic circles as well as in the society at large to discuss the influence of doping in sports. The following bibliometric analysis not only identifies possible directions of further research, but also indicates the relevance of established themes once again. By understanding the existing picture and recognizing the poorly studied area, scholars and policymakers may aim at establishing more preventive, ethical, and effective patterns of doping regulation. This will eventually protect the health of athletes of all calibers and integrity of any sport.

International Journal of Applied Positive Psychology, 2022
A growing body of research has associated the practice of meditation with the development of character strengths. Sahaja Yoga (SY) is a spiritual practice designed to help people develop a set of character strengths. The primary goal of the current work is to determine whether practitioners of SY meditation endorse signature strengths. Using the VIA Inventory of Strengths 120, we conducted a survey to measure character strengths among 310 daily practitioners of SY meditation and compared them to a matched sample from the database of the VIA Institute on Character. Practitioners of SY meditation endorsed seven signature strengths, relative to non-meditators: spirituality, forgiveness, gratitude, self-regulation, teamwork, appreciation of beauty, and hope. Findings suggest that the practice of SY meditation may be related to a unique and broad set of character strengths. The findings pave the way for research identifying signature strength development in other group contexts.
  • Different types of bhastrika pranayama: Repeated measures trials with different treatments to study the trend of the effects on static balance ability
Rajeev Choudhary, Vineeta Singh, Krzysztof Stec, Lesław Kulmatycki, Tilak Raj Meena
    Human Movement, 2017
Purpose. The objective of the study was to find out the trend of the effects of 4 varieties of bhastrika pranayama on static balance ability. Methods. The total of 75 male students were selected as subjects. The age of the subjects ranged 17-25 years. The participants were divided randomly into 5 groups, 15 students each. They practiced 4 varieties of bhastrika pranayama. Results. Quadratic components for overall trends were found significant in static balance ability. A significant difference was observed between linear components of the trends for the treatment groups and the control group in static balance ability. Also, a significant difference was noted between quadratic components of the trends for the treatment groups and the control group as for static balance ability. Conclusions. There was a significant difference among the adjusted post-test means of 4 experimental groups and the control group in static balance ability.
  • Trend of the effects of four varieties of yoga Bhastrika Pranayama on physical efficiency index

    Archives of Budo, 2012
Background The objective of the study was to find out the Trend of the effects of four varieties of dynamic yogic breathing call as Bhastrika Pranayama on physical efficiency measured by Harward Step Test. The study was design to find out significant difference between measures of performance (Physical Efficiency Index) for four treatments (four verities of Bhastrika pranayama). Also to find out interaction between particular trials and treatments (linear, quadratic & cubic component for overall trend). Material/Methods: Total of 40 students were selected as subjects. Age of the Subjects was ranged from 17 to 25 years. All the subjects were divided randomly in to four groups i.e. 10 in each group. Practice of Bhastrika Pranayama was considered as Independent variables and Physical Efficiency Index was considered as dependent variables. To find out the trend of the effects of four varieties of Bhastrika Pranayama on Physical Efficiency Index, trend analysis with multiple treatments was used at 0.05 level of Significance. Results: Insignificant difference was found between measures of performance for treatments (significant trend for treatments), between trials and treatments interaction and between cubic component for overall trends (all p>0.05). Significant difference (p<0.05) was found between measures of performance for treatments (significant trend for trials), also between linear component for overall trends (p<0.05) and between quadratic component for overall trends. Conclusions: Study revealed that all the four varieties of Bhastrika Pranayama practices proved to be equal in bringing out change in Physical Efficiency Index.
  • The effects of dynamic Surya Namaskar on differential chest circumference of physical education students
Krzysztof Stec, Rajeev Choudhary, Lesław Kulmatycki
    Human Movement, 2010
Purpose. The objective of the study was to determine the effects of dynamic Surya Namaskar (sun salutations) on the differential chest circum ference of selected physical education students at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Basic procedures. The subjects for this study were selected from the Department of Physical Education at Banaras Hindu University. A total of 20 male subjects were selected and used as one practicing group. Dynamic Surya Namaskar was considered the independent variable and differential chest circumference was considered the dependent variable. The test was for differential chest circumference. The Repeated Measures Design was used for this study. Only one group of 20 participants was created. Tests were administered at regular intervals of two weeks. The tests started four weeks prior to the dynamic Surya Namaskar (DSN) treatment and took place every two weeks, three times. Thereafter, tests took place every two weeks during the treatment and after the comple tion of the treatment, they were continued for the following fourweek period. Main findings. To determine the effect of dynamic Surya Namas kar on physiological and anthropometric variables of selected physical education students at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, one way ANOVA was used at .05 level of significance. Conclusions. In relation to differential chest circumference, a significant ( p < 0.05) effect of dynamic Surya Namaskar was found.
