Irina Fonseca

I am a science enthusiast originally from Cabo Verde, fascinated with the field of cancer biology, particularly breast cancer. I am mostly curious about what drives tumor progression and metastasis, as well as how cells communicate to adapt and resist therapy. My current career goal is to focus on therapeutic options for patients with incurable breast cancer, and my long-term career goal is to stablish my own lab in Cabo Verde, contributing to the country’s science development and continuing to fulfil the gaps on the unknown in the field, aiming at helping breast cancer patients.
