Attribute-Adaptive Noise Injection for Robust Differential Privacy in Cyber Physical Systems Manas Kumar Yogi, A.S.N. Chakravarthy International Journal of Wireless and Microwave Technologies, 2026 This paper introduces Attribute-Adaptive Noise Injection (AANI), a novel approach to enhance differential privacy in Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). AANI addresses the privacy-utility trade-off by dynamically adjusting noise injection based on individual data attribute sensitivity, correlation, and utility needs. This tailored approach allows for fine-grained privacy control, adapting to the diverse data generated by CPS components. The paper outlines AANI's framework, proposes efficient algorithms for attribute-specific noise calculation, and demonstrates its effectiveness through simulations. Results show AANI outperforms traditional differential privacy methods by improving both privacy protection and data utility in CPS.
Enhancing privacy and security in Federated learning protecting electronic health records data from adversarial attacks Burra Lalitha Rajeswari, A.S.N. Chakravarthy Informatics for Health and Social Care, 2026 Federated Learning (FL) is a revolutionary approach to machine learning that allows multiple institutions, such as healthcare organizations, to collaboratively train models without sharing sensitive data directly. The problem involves protecting Electronic Health Records (EHRs) in FL from adversarial attacks while maintaining privacy. This requires ensuring secure data aggregation, anonymization, and robust model training across diverse healthcare institutions without compromising sensitive patient information. The objectives are to enhance privacy and security in FL for EHRs by implementing anonymization, adversarial pattern detection, context-aware aggregation, and robust model training. This ensures protection from adversarial attacks while maintaining compliance with privacy standards like HIPAA. Adaptive Weighted Median Filtering (AWMF) improves FL robustness by reducing noise, outliers, and adversarial attacks, ensuring accurate, privacy-preserving model training. The Cuckoo-based Deep Convolutional Long-Term Memory (CDC-LSTM) combines convolutional layers and memory networks to enhance FL, improving robustness against adversarial attacks while ensuring secure EHR data processing. Federated Privacy-Preserving Mesh Networks (F-PPMN) enhance FL by creating secure, decentralized communication channels, protecting EHRs from adversarial attacks and preserving privacy. Findings show that anonymized EHR attributes (90%-290%) slightly reduce data richness compared to original attributes (100%-300%) while maintaining privacy. This demonstrates a balance between data utility and confidentiality in FL and is implemented in Python Software. Future advancements include integrating federated encryption, multi-party computation, and improved adversarial attack detection, enhancing privacy and security in FL for EHRs while ensuring robust, accurate model performance across diverse healthcare environments.
Adaptive attention transformer mechanism with CED model for end to end real-time single channel speech enhancement Anil Kumar Prathipati, A S N Chakravarthy Engineering Research Express, 2026 Speech enhancement (SE) plays a vital role in applications such as mobile communication and automatic speech recognition. However, existing attention-based SE models often fail to simultaneously capture channel, frequency, and temporal dependencies, limiting their ability to generalize under diverse noise conditions. To address this, we propose AATCEDNet, a novel Adaptive Attention Transformer integrated with a Convolutional Encoder—Decoder (CED) framework for real-time single-channel speech enhancement. Our design introduces Adaptive Attention Transformer Network (AATN), composed of Adaptive Cross-Channel Attention (ACA) module for dynamic channel refinement, and dual-domain transformers combining Adaptive Frequency Attention (AFA) and Adaptive Time Attention (ATA) to effectively model long-range time-frequency dependencies. Furthermore, a dense encoder—decoder with D2Net blocks captures multi-scale features, while a subpixel convolution decoder with dual-path masking ensures accurate spectrogram reconstruction at low computational cost. Evaluations on OpenSLR (Telugu), NOIZEUS, and VoiceBank-DEMAND datasets demonstrate that AATCEDNet consistently outperforms state-of-the-art baselines such as MSCUNet, SCU-Net, and SEGAN. Under unseen noise conditions, AATCEDNet achieves average improvements of +1.7 % STOI and +0.33 PESQ compared to MSCUNet, while reducing model complexity. Ablation studies further confirm the critical roles of ACA and ATA in improving intelligibility. These results highlight AATCEDNet’s ability to deliver real-time, high-quality speech enhancement with strong generalization across diverse noise environments, making it suitable for practical real-time speech-driven systems.
An Energy-Efficient Based Secure IOT Data Transfer with Hashed Data Access Policy Using ACROT-DHSKECC and LSCRC32 Tamarapalli Anjikumar, A.S.N. Chakravarthy Journal of Telecommunications and the Digital Economy, 2025 The rapid expansion of Internet of Things (IoT) applications in healthcare has amplified the need for secure, efficient, and scalable data transmission frameworks. This study proposes an energy-aware and secure IoT-based data transmission architecture tailored for remote healthcare monitoring systems. Unlike conventional encryption-centric models, the proposed framework integrates lightweight double encryption (ACROT-DHSKECC) and hashed access control (LSCRC32) with optimised network path selection using clustering and Grasshopper Optimisation Algorithm (GOA). This integration reduces latency, enhances node-level energy efficiency, and secures data transmission over distributed networks. The system’s design aligns with next-generation telecom infrastructure, making it well-suited for deployment in 5G-enabled smart healthcare environments. Simulation results demonstrate reduced hash generation time, lower memory usage, and enhanced encryption performance, affirming its viability for secure data delivery in modern digital health ecosystems.
A Customised Privacy Preservation Mechanism for Cyber-Physical Systems Manas Kumar Yogi, A.S.N. Chakravarthy Securing the Digital Frontier Threats and Advanced Techniques in Security and Forensics, 2025 As modern-day cyber-physical systems (CPS) play a crucial role in enhancing the daily dependence on them in a smart ecosystem, the security and privacy aspects cannot be ignored. This research advocates a novel privacy approach for CPS, where the user can select the level of privacy based on their usage. It attempts to increase the degree of data utility at the user's customized usage level. As observed by all the stakeholders of a CPS, the degree of privacy and utility has a significant trade-off in determining the effectiveness of a CPS. Hence, this approach brings about a fair amount of flexibility for the users of a CPS entity. This need has motivated the design and development of a provisional privacy-preserving method, which shows appreciable results compared to current popular privacy-preservation methods in a cyber-physical system.
