Dr K Shashikanth has been working in the Department of Civil Engineering in UCE, OU since 2007. Presently working as Professor in the Dept of Civil Engg at Osmania University. Shashikanth obtained his PhD from the prestigious IIT Bombay, Mumbai in the field of impacts of Climate change in the Regional projections of Rainfall. His research areas include

• Soft Computing Applications
• GIS Applications
• Modeling of Hydrological systems
• Water Network Modeling
• Uncertainty Analysis
In addition, he has completed M Tech degree in Computer science from JNTU H. Dr Shashikanth before joining OU, worked at CBIT also and has taught wide range of graduate and under graduate courses and is recipient of excellent in teaching award and Vice Chancellor EXCELLENT IN RESEARCH AWARD IN 2023.
