Szechenyi University

1970 BME traction engineer. He presented the control of diesel-electric power transmission at the University sice 1975, and taught at the Department of Automation from 1994. 1996: University Doctor. He developed computer models for regulatory processes. Sensors and actuators - subject construction. Electric drives - integrates the control of synchronous servo drives. Participated in contract works of significant research value. He developed high-quality permanent magnet motors in tenders. He obtained his PhD degree in 2013, Applicability test of capacitive energy storage on metro-type vehicles.
Retired since 2017. He is a frequent guest of international conferences.

More about the professional activity:

GRANT DETAILS

Contracts with industrial companies, then from 2007 with tenders with state and EU subsidies

RESEARCH OUTPUTS (PATENTS, SOFTWARE, PUBLICATIONS, PRODUCTS)

Permanent magnet synchronous motors with outstanding properties (high efficiency, very low pulsating torque, less than 2%, high torque/weight ratio) for experimental vehicles; laboratory developments, software developments, updating MSc study materials, writing and consulting on winning diploma projects. Elaboration of a patent with accepted but unpaid maintenance costs - but a high-quality article was published at a conference

CONSULTANCY

; Research of abnormal rocking movements of BKV metro vehicles to demonstrate the properties of the newly developed DC traction motor and gear; Investigations of the drive control of BKV Soviet-made subway cars for the French-designed automatic driving system, to determine the causes of some unexpected electrical braking phenomena.

Industry, Institute, or Organisation Collaboration

Development of insulating material for BKV and MÁV railway traction motors to class "F"; reliability tests of control circuits for electric traction vehicles; Investigation of BKV cogwheel railway brake accidents in the laboratory, implementation of vehicle drive and traction force-gradient control; Research into the causes of corrugated rail wear of the BKV underground railway, from the point of view of vehicle propulsion;

INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

As traction engineer at MAV Railway 1970-75

SOCIAL, ECONOMIC, or ACADEMIC BENEFITS

Doctoral school education, supervision of 4 doctoral students, a completed plot.
Since 2007, he has been helping her students in the successful development of their solar-powered "Shell Eco-Marathon" racing car with a permanent magnet synchronous motor every year.
