I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Chittagong. My research focuses on microbial biochemistry, ecophysiology, and pathogenesis, with additional interests in metabolic activities, genomics, and biogeochemical carbon recycling. I obtained my Ph.D. from the Glycometabolome Lab at RIKEN, Japan, specializing in microbial catabolic pathways and protein-glycosylation in bacteria and yeast. As an educator, I teach courses in microbiology, spectroscopy, endocrinology, and related subjects. My investigations involve plant and animal probiotics, zoonotic pathogens, biocatalysis, and biotransformation within bacterial and fungal systems. Through projects on microbial biochemistry, biotechnology and genomics, I seek to explore pathways to enhance our understanding of microbial functions. I am dedicated to mentorship and collaboration, with the goal of advancing knowledge and innovation in biochemistry and microbiology.
