This research presents a dataset generated through Monte Carlo simulations to evaluate 12 key criteria relevant to maintenance strategy selection. The dataset covers a wide range of potential maintenance scenarios, providing comprehensive data for researchers to explore various strategies in industrial settings. The data were normalized and structured in a way that facilitates their use for further modeling or analysis. The dataset offers an opportunity for researchers to reproduce the data collection process, enabling comparisons with their own studies. By providing this dataset, we aim to support the development of new models for maintenance strategy selection and encourage further exploration of data-driven approaches in industrial maintenance. Additionally, the dataset can serve educational purposes, assisting in the teaching of decision-making in the context of maintenance operations.
The risk-based operational safety strategy for Perkin-Elmer/Cetus DNA Thermal Cycler PCR systems Julio Cesar Pino Tarragó, Leider Inocencio Saraiba Núñez, Maira Rosario Moreno Pino, Yorley Arbella Feliciano Salud Ciencia Y Tecnologia, 2024 Introduction: this article was conducted in the field of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test safety, where it is essential to understand the contribution and impact of risk analysis methods to improve test safety medical diagnosis at the institutional level. In this context, the current study focuses on failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) applied to the Perkin-Elmer/Cetus deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) thermocycler.Objective: to describe the application of FMEA to improve the operational safety of Perkin-Elmer/Cetus DNA thermal cyclers used in medical diagnostics in ataxic patients. Methods: to carry out this study, a methodology based on an exhaustive review of the scientific literature available in academic databases and relevant sources was used. Previous studies on FMEA analysis of DNA thermocyclers in common and expanded forms were collected and analyzed.Results: the results obtained demonstrated that FMEA is an effective tool to identify and evaluate possible failure modes of Perkin-Elmer/Cetus DNA thermal cyclers. Several defects were identified and their consequences, causes and classification based on their severity and frequency were determined. Likewise, corrective actions are proposed to reduce the identified risks.Conclusions: early identification of possible failure modes and implementation of corrective actions can reduce risk and guarantee the quality of the diagnoses carried out and therefore improve operational safety

Peluffo-Ordóñez Journal Europeen Des Systemes Automatises, 2023 The main objective of this study is to investigate the adaptation of wind turbines at the Gibara II Wind Farm in Cuba, which operates in a tropical climate that differs from the typical conditions in which these turbines are designed and manufactured in the northern hemisphere.The study utilizes condition monitoring techniques supported by Big Data acquired through a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system.By statistically processing normalized databases using multiple linear regression equations, the study establishes mathematical models that characterize the behavior of critical variables such as bearing, oil and winding temperatures, electrical generation, and specific climatic conditions unique to the wind farm under analysis.These models are essential for advancing condition-based maintenance (CBM) practices and developing preventive measures to mitigate functional failures.The significance of this research lies in the historical technical performance of the equipment under investigation, highlighting the importance of addressing the challenges posed by different environmental conditions.The study was conducted using the relevant regulatory technical documentation pertaining to the design of the wind turbines at the Gibara II Wind Farm.

Peluffo-Ordóñez International Journal of Design and Nature and Ecodynamics, 2021 After studies related to the technical state and behavior of the temperatures manifested by the bearings of the generators that make up the Goldwind wind turbines models S50-750, installed in the Gibara II Wind Farm (PE). It was identified and validated as a tool that enables early diagnosis of anomalous bearing behaviors, SolidWorks (SW) computer-aided design and engineering software (CAD-CAE) and the Flow Simulation add-on. Since it allows studies based on the computational fluid dynamics (CFD), of the temperatures that are manifested in the lubricant during the different working regimes of the generator. The studies carried out evaluated the environmental conditions of exploitation in Cuba. It works on obtaining and predicting the values of the thermal state using the principles and methods for the calculation of heat transfer, the forecast statistics apply. The research supports its theories and postulates in a sample of 6 installed equipment, from China, for it had a historical database that collects temperature measurements in different working conditions which allowed to establish correlation between theoretical predictions and real behaviors.
Influences of the Temperature Variations in the Gondola of the Goldwing S50/750 Wind Turbines Yorley Arbella Feliciano, Carlos A. Trinchet, Javier A. Vargas, Leandro L. Lorente-Leyva International Journal on Advanced Science Engineering and Information Technology, 2020 The use of wind energy is a decisive factor for human development, associated with the environment and capacity of people exploiting this vital resource. The investigation is part of predicting the behavior of the temperatures inside the nacelle of the Goldwind wind turbines S50 / 750 models installed in the Gibara Wind Farm. It supports its theories and analysis of computer-aided design (CAD), by monitoring the working temperatures, which interact with the forced ventilation system in the studied devices. The values analyzed result from continuous measurements carried out by the SCADA systems (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) of the studied machines. Which allows the diagnosis and early visualization of unforeseen incipient failures that currently occur under operating conditions standardized by the manufacturer. When the wind reaches speeds that exceed 11.5 m/s, major aggregates such as the gearbox and the generator fail. The results obtained in the investigation will allow to correct the program in the PLC (Logical Control Program) for the start-up and stop of the cooling system of the wind turbines in order to generate an ideal thermal balance for the working condition activities in Cuba, inside the nacelle, reducing the frequent occurrence of critical temperature values in the maximum limit that put the wind turbines out of service and therefore providing the wind farm with a higher coefficient of technical availability.
