A Recursive High Payload Reversible Data Hiding Using Integer Wavelet and Arnold Transform Amishi Mahesh Kapadia, P. Nithyanandam Intelligent Automation and Soft Computing, 2023 Reversible data hiding is an information hiding technique that requires the retrieval of the error free cover image after the extraction of the secret image. We suggested a technique in this research that uses a recursive embedding method to increase capacity substantially using the Integer wavelet transform and the Arnold transform. The notion of Integer wavelet transforms is to ensure that all coefficients of the cover images are used during embedding with an increase in payload. By scrambling the cover image, Arnold transform adds security to the information that gets embedded and also allows embedding more information in each iteration. The hybrid combination of Integer wavelet transform and Arnold transform results to build a more efficient and secure system. The proposed method employs a set of keys to ensure that information cannot be decoded by an attacker. The experimental results show that it aids in the development of a more secure storage system and withstand few tampering attacks The suggested technique is tested on many image formats, including medical images. Various performance metrics proves that the retrieved cover image and hidden image are both intact. This System is proven to withstand rotation attack as well.
Identical twin matching based on multiple feature extractors K. Sudhakar, P. Nithyanandam International Journal of Internet Technology and Secured Transactions, 2022 Identical twins have similarities in their face and facial features, due to that, face recognition performance decreases. The proposed system performs identical twin identification with different illumination conditions and different poses. Two methodologies such as grey level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM) and Gabor are used in the proposed system. The first method is the texture based approach, in which the energy, contrast, correlation and homogeneity parameters are calculated by using GLCM which provides the first level of authentication. The second method is the distance-based approach, in which distance between the facial components is detected by using Gabor and thus the second level matching is performed. The GLCM and distance features are used to differentiate the twins. The support vector machine (SVM) is used for the classification. ND-Twin 2009 dataset is used in the proposed system for the testing purpose and the proposed work achieves 90% accuracy.
Augmenting the detection of online image theft using diagonal transformation and iris biometric watermarking Jincy J. Fernandez, Nithyanandam Pandian, Raghuvamsh Chavali, Ashwanth Kumar Appalaghe International Journal of Information and Computer Security, 2022 The digitisation of data has brought in various social media platforms where a lot of data are compromised every day. Likewise, there is a possibility of theft for every photo published online. Hence, the research work proposes an image theft detection technique where biometric traits of the owner of the photo, are embedded into the image. This helps to prove rightful ownership in case of any ownership disputes on the image. The proposed architecture identifies the rightful owner by comparing the embedded traits from the claimed image with that of the person asserting ownership. The watermark imperceptibility is analysed and robustness against various attacks is proven. Also, the accuracy of the work is analysed in terms of the false acceptance rate and false rejection rate. By considering iris images taken from CASIA, and IIT-Delhi databases, the proposed approach achieved a better accuracy rate with a very low FAR and FRR.
