A PREDICTIVE LOAD BALANCING STRATEGY FOR SUSTAINABLE SOFTWARE-DEFINED NETWORKS Irengbam Tilokchan Singh International Journal of Applied Mathematics, 2025 The relentless expansion of cloud computing is pushing digital infrastructure to its limits, making advanced server load balancing essential for speed and overall system sustainability. Conventional methods operate reactively, including Least Response Time and Least Connection algorithms. Their failure to anticipate sudden traffic spikes often leads to performance degradation, a problem magnified in environments with mixed server capabilities. Confronting this challenge head-on, our research proposes a novel Predicted Load Balancing (PLB) algorithm. PLB is a proactive solution that uniquely fuses live network data with predictive analytics to distribute traffic intelligently before bottlenecks occur. We rigorously evaluated PLB against traditional algorithms using Mininet to emulate a Software-Defined Networking (SDN) architecture. Tests across both uniform and heterogeneous server setups yielded compelling results. PLB consistently outperformed its counterparts, slashing response times by 12-20% and boosting overall throughput by 8-15%. Its most notable achievement was a staggering 60% improvement in throughput within complex, heterogeneous environments. Furthermore, PLB achieved a 30% reduction in server load variance, a key metric that directly translates to greater stability and fewer errors. These findings confirm that PLB fundamentally shifts the load balancing paradigm from a reactive to a predictive model. This capability is transformative, paving the way for constructing more resilient and energy-efficient networks. By preemptively managing traffic, PLB offers a robust framework for sustainable server management that maintains reliable performance even under the most dynamic and demanding conditions.

This presents a deep learning technique for enhancing resolution for single picture super resolution. The method directly learns an end to end mapping between low quality and high-quality resolution pictures. A deep convolutional neural network represents the mapping, which takes the poor resolution picture as input and produces a high quality resolution image.
Server Load Balancing with Round Robin Technique in SDN Irengbam Tilokchan Singh, Thounaojam Rupachandra Singh, Tejmani Sinam 2022 International Conference on Decision Aid Sciences and Applications Dasa 2022, 2022 Round Robin Algorithm plays a crucial role in load balancing of server farms. This paper’s primary focus is to benchmark the Round Robin algorithm in Server Load Balancing (SLB) using Software Defined Networking (SDN). Experimental results show that the Round Robin algorithm gives 100% availability of the servers. Load balancing is done among the live servers from the server pool. In our experiment, the Round Robin load-balancing algorithm is implemented using a POX controller and an OpenFlow switch.

Tangkeshwar Singh 2021 5th International Conference on Electrical Electronics Communication Computer Technologies and Optimization Techniques Iceeccot 2021 Proceedings, 2021 To test the ideas of machine learning, effects of preprocessing and Region of Interest (ROI) segmentation on the performance of Content Based Medical Image Retrieval (CBMIR) Systems, we have developed a CBMIR prototype using the MATLAB environment. Brain MRI image dataset from Kaggle have been utilized to train and test the Resnet50 Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) which are fed with data, first without preprocessing and without the concepts of ROI and then with data which were preprocessed and ROI segmented. The two different approaches have been compared by measures of accuracy, precision and recall of the classification thus achieved.

The paper presents a technique that detects the presence of wormhole attack in wireless sensor network (WSN) using artificial neural network (ANN). The proposed technique uses connectivity information between any two sensor nodes as the detection feature. The proposed technique has been implemented considering the deployment of sensor nodes in the wireless sensor network area under uniform, Poisson, Gaussian, exponential, gamma & beta probability distributions. The proposed technique does not require any additional hardware resources and gives a comparatively high percentage of detection accuracy.
