Thales Roel is a sound designer, sound engineer, and researcher at Centre for Informatics and Systems of the University of Coimbra (CISUC). His areas of interest include Computer Aided Composition, Music Analysis, Computer Mediated Multimodal Environments, Computational Creativity, Human-Computer Interaction, He holds a Bachelor's degree in Music with a focus on composition (2021) from the Institute of Arts at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) in Brazil. Additionally, he has a study certificate in Sound Engineering (2021) from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the same University. He has participated in workshops and masterclasses with Phillippe Manoury, Michel Redolfi, Marcus Siqueira, Fábio Zanon, Jonathan Crissman, Laiana Oliveira, Conrado Paulino, among others.
